Only peace I get is lying down, worse by end day and am often goig home in tears with pain. Tried acpuncture, ostepoath, homepath, physo, hold an cold pads nothing working. It is making me depressed and my pregnancy a nightmare. Any suggestions for relief?
Doctor :   Hi,
Doctor :   Have you taken any allopathic medications for the same ?
User :   What are they?
Doctor :   The pain killers ( NSAIDS )
Doctor :   or Opiods
User :   Paractemol is all I can take. Had steriod injections too
Doctor :   You can try Diclofenac skin patches as they release low drug levels and continuously ,
Doctor :   also not causing any harm to the pregnancy
User :   i had some gel likes that not good either. Do you get them in? What about getting rid of this totally?
Doctor :   the one which contains 0.6 % diclofenac is very safe
Doctor :   yes you get them in
User :   i had diofene gel, is that it?
Doctor :   getting rid of them totally needs aggressive treatment with oral or IV antibiotics and steroids which can affect your pregnancy
Doctor :   the drug is the same but the delivery system is unique and specially suited for such cases
Doctor :   here the drug is released in small amounts continuously controlling the pain for long time
Doctor :   the gel has a narrow therapeutic index ( short span effect )
User :   anything else?
Doctor :   Other safe medications would be TRAMADOL either oral or injections
Doctor :   also at site injection ( at the affected area ) of small dose steroids is helpful
User :   Do you think It will las the lenght of the pregnancy and is it caused by the pregnancy?
Doctor :   Not directly, but with increased abdominal pressure and continuous stress on the costochondral joints could worsen the problem
User :   So will it get worse as I get heavier?>
Doctor :   May be
User :   i cant deal with worse honestly I cant.
Doctor :   Continue Physiotherapy it will prevent worsening due to pregnancy
User :   Thats it so?
Doctor :   and most of times its self limiting and go off by own
Doctor :   Are you on any medication for it presently ?
User :   No.
Doctor :   Try the patch
Doctor :   it can even the heal the condition completely
Doctor :   there are good results with it
User :   its in two spots though under breast and at back
Doctor :   ok , you can apply patches on both
User :   goign see my ob today
