User :   Hi.. hum... this can't possibly be free... Well, I workout regularly and I think a couple of days after my last workout, I have pain in the left part of my chest when I look down. It's hard to say if it's the muscle (pec) or something else.. thoughts?
User :   Very neat..
Doctor :   Hi,
User :   Hey!
User :   :) Nice to meet you
Doctor :   Nice here too
Doctor :   may i know whether the pain is deep or superficial ?
User :   It's hard to say....well.. it's not in the skin, that's for sure
User :   It feels like it's a very specific spot
User :   Been like that for a few days
User :   I'm not sure if it's a muscle strain or something else
Doctor :   Ok, Do you get other symptoms like excessive sweating , dizziness or syncope , palpitation , nausea etc during the pain ?
User :   nope.. nothing like that. Just a specific pain.. enough that it can really hurt.
User :   Like if I'm getting into the car and I sit down very quickly, it really hurts..
User :   It deosn't feel like it's my pec.
User :   It seems like it's a few centimeters below my clavicule
User :   and under
Doctor :   Ok, i feel its probably due to inter coastal muscle spasm and not serious
User :   inter coastal?
User :   I'll have to Google that..
User :   I'm 37 btw
Doctor :   costo-transverse sprain
Doctor :   Its very common and presents typically as you had been through
Doctor :   needs no special treatment , good breathing exercises ( aerobics ) will help here
User :   oooook.... so, how long does this take to heal? And do you think it's because of my workout?
User :   Ok.. good breathing... so .. ok, I do cardio once a week but I'll step it up so long as we're sure it has nothing to do with my heart.
Doctor :   Also applying Diclofenac gel over the affected area will give better symptomatic relief
User :   I dont' smoke and am very healthy
User :   ok.. Diclofenac
User :   ok
Doctor :   thats good , smoke may not be related here
Doctor :   and yes, faulty working out in gym can be a common cause of the same
User :   Right ... well it's an exercise I do regularly but maybe I didn't warm up good enough.. hmmm... ok... I'll do more aerobics and breathing exercises. Should I exercise my neck rotating my head too downwards when it hurts?
Doctor :   No , you have ti relax while its paining , more the movements more it will hurt
Doctor :   to*
User :   ok
User :   Sounds reasonable - well you saved me a trip to the doctor's. :)
User :   One last question.. :) I'm sure you get this a lot - are you in
User :   in India?
