User :   I have had nearly constant pressure in my upper right arm for several days, my right hand feels cold, weak and often slightly numb.
Doctor :   hi
Doctor :   may i know your age ?
User :   54
Doctor :   do u have any weakness in the affected arm and hands ?
User :   Just that my right hand feels somewhat weak - not seriously.
Doctor :   and has this affected your daily functioning as well ?
User :   No.
Doctor :   what about other parts of the body having similar issues ?
User :   No.
Doctor :   any haeadache ?
User :   No.
Doctor :   have u had any trauma, or overuse associated with this arm recently ?
User :   No.
Doctor :   do u feel any pain as well ?
User :   Sometimes I would describe what I feel in the right arm as pain but mostly its just pressure.
Doctor :   ok
User :   Like someone is using their thumb to press into the muscle.
Doctor :   from the history that you have given it seems that u could be having a peripheral neuropathy
User :   OK
Doctor :   this could be due to some pressure on the nerve in the shoulder or in the spine
Doctor :   a Physical examination as well as a MRI of the spine and nerve conduction studies will be helpful in this condition.
Doctor :   this willl help to diagnose the condition
User :   What I am mostly concerned about is whether this might be symptomatic of some impending major disorder, e.g. oncoming heart attack or stroke. It doesn't sound like it. I've already scheduled a dr's appt for December 28, so I assume there's no need to go to the emergency room in the meantime.
Doctor :   In the mean time physiotherapy , and amr stretching will aslo help
User :   OK. Thanks. And thanks for this very helpful service. Its very useful.
Doctor :   no it does not seem to be a heart attack
Doctor :   you can relax and go for the check up on 28th december
Doctor :   No need to panic at all
User :   Thanks!
Doctor :   you are welcome
Doctor :   take care and Merry Xmas !!
User :   Unless there's something else I need to know I will be disconnecting.
Doctor :   just relax and do some stretch excercises until you see your doctor
User :   Bye!
Doctor :   nothing much to do
Doctor :   bye for now
