User :   My kid 11 months old, male, has done Haemotology

Doctor :   May i know the reason for which these tests were done?
User :   platelet count 6,83,000
User :   He has congestion
Doctor :   most of the tests are normal
User :   Runing nse fever, cough phelgm
Doctor :   congestion in the sense he has cough , cold, and fever , is this right ?

User :   HAs been advised Sinurest, Expect PD, Meftol and aughemen
User :   We has repeated fevers, forehead will be always hot

Doctor :   presence of ear infection, causes persistant infection, and then, recurrent nasal infection leading to colds

User :   and doctor says that kids will have high temprature on forehead and stomoch

Doctor :   use febrex 5 ml thrice daily ( for fever) instead of D cold, as this one is much better
User :   For now shall I start with D Cold and then Febrex?
Doctor :   give him steam inhalation with vicks in it , so that breathing is made easy

User :   We are trying nebulazitaion
User :   But he is not co-oprating much

User :   I think that's Salbumatomol, which I found in Respira as well
Doctor :   does he cough much , or has breathing problems (wheeze) at night ?

User :   he sleeps very well but only nose blocks
User :   thats when be becomes irritatble
Doctor :   try ambroxol or ambrodil, instead, which will break the mucus, and make breathing easy

Doctor :   5 ml thrice daily
User :   ok, I will go with Ambroxol/Ambrodil along with febrex
Doctor :   also he needs antibiotics,
User :   which is better for him?
Doctor :   ask for antibiotics from your doc, as it needs a prescription

User :   ESR and Total Count is much higher
User :   Is it a concern?
Doctor :   nothing to worry
Doctor :   those are usually more in kids, due to high blood counts
User :   oh ok
Doctor :   and presence of infection can make it more
User :   oh ok
User :   When do you advise for hospitalization?
Doctor :   if he is irritable, and not having feeds, and fever is very high persisting, inspite of meds, dev of seevere symptoms, then is the time to take him to a hospital
Doctor :   as long as daily activities are well within normal, he can be nursed at home
