User :   my blood sugar has been 62-70 recently. Although i have not been diagnosed with low blood sugar yet. is this a sign of diabetes?

User :   no

Doctor :   Most often diabetes is detected incidentally.
User :   how
Doctor :   On few occasions the present with symptoms as I have mentioned earlier.
Doctor :   Apart from you can have visual symptoms such as blurring of vision, burning sensation of limbs, weakness and tiredness,
Doctor :   delay in the healing of the wounds and so on.

Doctor :   Rarely diabetes is detected only when complications such as kidney dysfunctions, retinopathy or vascular symptoms develop.
Doctor :   However commonly they are detected incidentally when some one gets a sugar test.
User :   is it the same thing as a glucose test

User :   then i have already had one od those and it was 62
Doctor :   Though the sugar values are low, (one of the symptoms are frequent hypoglycemia) it is hard to say that it is due to diabetes, however since you have the symptoms, diabetes cannot be ruled out completely.

Doctor :   A fasting blood sugar and a post prandial blood sugar would be needed.
