Doctor :   Hi
User :   Hi
Doctor :
How can I help you?
User :   I have a question
Doctor :
Yes you can proceed with it
User :   I and my wife are planning to conceive a baby
Doctor :
Ok
User :   its more than 10 months that we are trying with no results
Doctor :
Ok
Doctor :
May I know your date of marriage?
User :   the problem I see or feel is a problem is that earlier she used to get her periods every month with about a delay of a day or two, which was quite normal, but last 3-4 months, her periods are delayed by more than 5-8 days
User :   we got married in December 2008
Doctor :
Ok
Doctor :   May I know your age as well as your wife's age?
User :   I am 29 and she is 25
Doctor :   Were you using any of the birth control methods?

User :   nope we were not
Doctor :
Or was your wife on any medications before?
User :   nope
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :
So how about your knowledge regarding fertility period?
User :   well... we know that it is somewhere between 10 and 18 days after the 1st days of her periods
Doctor :
Yes that is right
User :   and we have following that
Doctor :
So you will need to make contact at that time
User :   yes, we normally do it every alternate day
Doctor :
Recently you have said that your wife has delayed periods
Doctor :
but that is within the normal range
Doctor :
Have you consulted a doctor for this issue?
User :   yes, June she had her periods on the 24th, July she didnt have her periods, September they started on the 3rd and October they started on the 10th
User :   no, we have not consulted a doctor yet
Doctor :   Ok

User :   someone told us that a delay of 5 to 10 days is normal
User :   however I was not convinced with it
Doctor :
So I would suggest your wife to see a gynaecologist soon
User :   so I an talking to you
User :   ok
Doctor :
because going by your history it seems that your wife has not had her periods in the month of July and August
Doctor :
That is not normal
User :   sorry, replace the June with July
Doctor :
Ok
Doctor :
then it is not a problem
User :   she didnt have it in August, but had in beginning of September
Doctor :
Ok
User :   so you also think the delay of 5-10 days is fine?
Doctor :
then it is not of a much concern
User :   also, I had got my sperm test done, and the results were normal
Doctor :   1 year is the normal duration for conception
Doctor :
Thats good that your test is normal
User :   we have not done any tests for her yet, you think that is required?
Doctor :   Yes once you meet your gynaec

Doctor :
she will mostly do an examination
Doctor :
and order for an ultrasound abdomen
User :   ok
User :   anything else we should follow as a home remedy
Doctor :
Right now your fertility knowledge is good enough
Doctor :
So follow that fertile period
Doctor :
Results will come
Doctor :
Your doctor might as well ask for certain blood tests for your wife like Hb, Thyroid profile
Doctor :
and depending on the results one can come to a conclusion
Doctor :   Are you there?

Doctor :   I have to close the window as you are not responding. Please chat with our doctors 24/7 for medical queries.
