Completed full pregnancy months, didnot got pains yet. Any problem? Normal? - Online Doctor Chats
I've completed my 9 months of pregnancy
How are you doing?
on 12th of March
and today is my due date
but I didn't get any petains y
is this normal?
Normally, we always say +/- 1 week as date of delivery
ok...my doctor told that mouth is not opened yet
Which means you would be expected to deliver within 1 week from now
That would start once the pain starts
is it possible that it'll open in next 2 days?
I mean It opens slowly or can open at once also ?
As I said, the cervical opening (mouth) would start dilating once the pain starts
No, it would not open suddenly
It would usually take 10-12 hours to fully dilate so that the baby can come out
ok...actually doc has asked me to come tomorrow...on 20th March...after checkup, he'll decide if we should wait for more 1-2 days or Artificial pains should be given
she would probably like to do a full examination
full examination means?
That means she'll assess the baby, the size of the pelvis, check if the pelvis is big enough so that a normal delivery can happen, and the general things like your BP etc
I want to know if I'm given the artificial pains...how much it takes to deliver baby after giving pains
Is this your first child?
It would depend on the dose of the drug they give
Generally should be done within 8-10 hours
It really depends
On its own, it would take about 12-18 hours
also...doc asked me if I can feel the baby's movements normally ?
I can feel the movements...but what is normal ?
these are not much in count now
is that normal
We calculate the movements in a 12 hour period
So if you start in the morning at 8 am, you need to count till 8 pm
there should be 10 movements in 12 hours
ohh....I feel more than that...
So if you started at 8 am, and by 1 pm, there were 10 movements, dont count further
