User :   Hi
I've had variations of a cold since what feels like the start of the year, for the past 8 days I've had the latest "cold" which wasnt that severe apart from I still have a worsening sore throat, and in the last two days have developed conjunctivitis, and ab blowing thick green mucus from my nose.I'm beginning to think that this is some kind of infection now rather than a cold, would you concur?
Doctor :   Hi,
Doctor :   Do you have fever ?
User :   I've had to get out of bed that last three mornings earlier than usual as I'm quite sweaty, and feel rather wornout for want of better words, but I'm not sure I have a fever, this latest "cold" started with me feeling constantly very cold
Doctor :   ok, do you have muscle aches and joint pains ?
User :   not really
User :   no in fact
Doctor :   the greenish mucous do give some clue as it co\uld be infection , but fever is a typical symptom
Doctor :   may i know have you used any medications for the same ?
User :   I had to obtain some antibiotic cream for the conjunctivitis from an eye infirmary, but other than that have just used "off the shelf" cold remedies
Doctor :   continue the same , use KETOLRLAC ( ketotifen ) eye drops one drop twice daily into each eye for good relief
User :   I'ts just the worsening sore throat that's still noticable, and seems to be creeping further up my throat daily, I'd expect a regular cols to be gone by now
Doctor :   and gargle with CHLORHEXIDINE solution twice a day after food it treats the soarthroat
Doctor :   even after these efforts for three days the symptoms do not come down or you develop fever you may need to be examined and put on antibiotics
User :   Do you think it's worth troubling my GP with, r should this clear on its own following your advice?
Doctor :   i think you can give a try with my advice for three days from now if not treated then you may have to visit your GP for him to put you on antibiotics
User :   Ok , thankyou for your advice..I appreciate your help
Doctor :   you are welcome
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting me
Doctor :   kindly provide your feedback
Doctor :   bye for now
User :   bye bye, take care.
Doctor :   you too
