User:today also i am feeling heavy at my throar with nose blocked
Doctor:How many episodes of vomiting did you have?
Doctor:Did you find spots of blood or was the whole vomitus stained with blood?
User:twice in the morning at the time of brushing
User:but vomiting was not severe
Doctor:Was it bright red in colour or dark brown in colour?
Doctor:Do you have history of diabetes, high blood pressure or liver problems?
User:no i have never undergone the tests for these
Doctor:Let me brief you.
Doctor:As you mentioned the colour of blood found was red and you have only minimal amounts, this is not something serious.
Doctor:Your symptoms are typical of upper respiratory tract infection.
Doctor:And the commonest cause is viral infection.
Doctor:people having upper respiratory tract infection usually have a fragile respiratory and lower pharyngeal wall.
Doctor:And sometimes due to a severe bout of coughing, the fragile wall can break leading to bright red minimal bleeding.
Doctor:What you experienced yesterday was probably the same.
Doctor:An alternative possibility is minor tear in the esophagus
Doctor:which can happen again due to severe bouts of coughing / sneezing.
Doctor:This again is not a serious issue as the amount of bleeding was not much.
Doctor:What you would need to do now is as follows
Doctor:1. Watch the progress of the condition.
Doctor:If you find there is recurrence of vomiting, increase in the amount of blood or if you find lots of dark brown coloured blood spots
Doctor:you need to visit a hospital immediately.
Doctor:2. Take symptomatic treatment such as
Doctor:- Steam inhalation thrice a day
Doctor:- Tab. Calpol 500mg thrice a day for 2-3 days
User:steam with any vicks
User:actually it is not that much severe
Doctor:- Tab. Cetrizine one tablet at night.
User:i got a cold bcos of climate change
User:and it is getting blocked some times and daily morning i am having ginger tea
Doctor:Steam inhalation with vicks or menthol will give added benefits than just boiling water.
User:i think it must be of heat in body
Doctor:I understand your symptoms.
User:oh ok will do it morning & night
Doctor:Viral flu is common during climate change (especially during cold weather)
User:oh ok
User:shall i consult doctor today
Doctor:presence of fever suggest your symptoms are due to an infection and rather than simple allergies.
User:and i had head ache also yestdy
Doctor:seeing a doctor would be beneficial, but there is no urgency here.
User:bcos of tension & stress
Doctor:Headache, body ache, generalized tiredness are part of viral syndrome.
User:ok then i will check the doctor today
Doctor:These symptoms are usually self limiting and would gradually improve in a few days.
Doctor:You can visit your doctor; in the mean time I encourage you to perform steam inhalation.
Doctor:Calpol can be used if you are having higher body temperature.
Doctor:Hope it is clear to you.
Doctor:Do you have any other queries?
Doctor:Are you there?
User:tell me sir
Doctor:Hope you have received my recommendations.
User:ya i will try with steam inhalation for a week
User:then will c the difeence
Doctor:Yes, steam inhalation will work.
Doctor:In addition to it,
Doctor:keep yourself well hydrated with plenty of fluids.
User:on 2008 i did my sinus operation
Doctor:Plenty of fruits and vegetables will give extra boost to fight back infection and get back to normality sooner.
User:oh ok
