User :   I am also a Crohn's Disease, Colon Cancer, and Epileptic patient.
Doctor :   Hi
User :   how are you today?
Doctor :   I am good, thanks and how about you?
User :   very ill for a very long time!
Doctor :
Shall we proceed with your queries?
User :   what is your opinion on medical marijuana before we start our consult?
Doctor :
There is dose that is medically accepted and prescribed by Doctors
Doctor :
and not after that
User :   As long as your are not against medical use
Doctor :   yes

User :   Based on my crohn's situation, I have experimented with numerous medications
User :   From nerve blocks to steriods
User :   I have yet to find relief from any of the medication prescribed
Doctor :
What is your age, occupation, height and weight before we proceed?
User :   I am 22 years old, I am unable to maintain a job due to my health situation, and I am 5"8 140 lbs
User :   I am constantly reminded from random individuals on "how sick I look"
User :   I have no color to my skin and the pain from the crohn's disease is causing insomnia
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :
I understand
User :   Based on medical marijuana, the state makes it illegal for me to use as a medicinal substance
Doctor :
User :   I have never experimented with alcohol, tobacco, or recreational drugs
User :   but when I was diagnosed with crohn's disease and colon cancer, medical marijuana was the only substance to give me relief
User :   when I was diagnosed with stage 2 colon cancer I was asked to participate in chemotherapy
Doctor :
User :   I refused chemo and read numerous articles on how the CB1 and CB2 receptors help keep crohn's disease in remission and also help with shrinking the size of tumors
Doctor :
User :   i smoked religiously since the day I was diagnosed, and without chemo my cancer went from stage 2 to stage 1
User :   I really needed medical advice or guidance in my current medical case
User :   I hate to "break" the law
User :   but when it comes to my health, it is the only medication that is helping my current situation
Doctor :
Do you mean you smoked medical marijuana and the tumor got to Stage 1
User :   and now, due to my epilepsy, I was accused of two separate DUI cases because I had two separate seizures while operating a moving vehicle
User :   I am still in the court process, but im afraid that if I am put on probation with drug testing, that my health will go out of control
User :   after 2 years of being "flare up" free, I stopped using marijuana to see the effect my body would go through
Doctor :   Ok, actually the court should favor you
User :   2 days after stopping the use of marijuana, I had my first flare up and spent the night in the emergency room
User :   i hit a wall with this whole situation
Doctor :
Ok I am sorry what is happening with you right now
User :   stop using medical marijuana and become very ill, or disobey the law and face jail time
Doctor :
but what is your treating physician saying
User :   his exact words ... word for word .... "I can't prescribe it due to the laws , but if it works, then continue to use it"
Doctor :   say
User :   my gastro completely supports the use of marijuana as a medication
User :   but he wont put his career on the line for a criminal case
Doctor :
Would not they support you with their expert opinion in the court of law
User :   like my attorney said .... the dr's opinion is just an "opinion"
User :   but he mentioned the hiring of a toxicologist
Doctor :
Would not the court summon them to appear in front and give their opinion
Doctor :   That makes sense
Doctor :
User :   based on the metabolites in my system ... my levels were not high enough to impair my ability to operate a moving vehicle
User :   thats already been determined
User :   but ... based on the law ... if any of the marijuana metabolites are found in your system you are guilty
User :   but then again ... there should be room to argue the fact that marijuana can stay in a constant smokers system for up to 36 days
Doctor :   yes

User :   also, im not sure how much you know about the law system, because I dont know too much to begin with
Doctor :
I do not know about the legal system
User :   but there are 6 people alive today with medical disabilities who receive medical marijuana from the federal government regardless of what state they live in
User :   and based on the declaration of rights, article 1, section 1 .... it states the as a citizen, I have the right to defend my life, AAAAAAA and pursuit of happiness
User :   which should guarantee my rights to treat myself medicinally with whatever substance that i feel benefits my health
User :   correct?
Doctor :
Yes I assume
User :   do you have any recommendations on a medical stand point
User :   maybe doctors you could recommend to support my case or even to help my current medical situation
Doctor :
Here also the legal system do not support the patient's rights for pursuit of happiness
User :   im not smoking to become happy
User :   but defending my life is all im doing
Doctor :
I understand that you smoke to live
Doctor :
Actually I am least aware of such aspects in medico legal point of view
Doctor :   There is an expertise branch here which deals with it
Doctor :
They are called forensic experts
Doctor :
and specialists in toxicology
User :   are they a chat on this site
Doctor :
Unfortunately not
Doctor :   We hardly get such kind of queries and we did not hire them
Doctor :
This is the first time experience for me
Doctor :   I have had chat with about 30,000 patients yet
Doctor :
but none with similar queries
User :   this is a different situation for a lot of people
User :   ive discussed this with many people
Doctor :
yes as the statistics say
User :   and everyone is blown away by my current situation
Doctor :
In fact I am too
User :   Its just...
User :   I've always tried to live my life based on the "good" things in life
User :   never drank
User :   never experimented with drugs
Doctor :
User :   and im being treated like a criminal because I was unlucky enough to be diagnosed with illnesses that are out of my control
User :   im looking for help anywhere I can
User :   this was just another try
User :   I really appreciate your insight
User :   I know this is a hard problem to fix over an online chat haha, but it was worth a try
Doctor :
I am sorry that I cannot help you with your current queries
Doctor :
Though here my thoughts would be with you
Doctor :
and I pray for good
User :   yes, me too
User :   thanks again
Doctor :   All the best
User :   how can I end chat?
Doctor :   I shall do it
Doctor :
from here
User :   thanks
