User:Hi Doctor
Doctor:Good Afternoon
Doctor:How can I help you?
User:I need some info...about by 5 month old male baby..
User:We are planning to start solid food feeding from this month..
User:He has decreased his take-in content of mother's milk...!
User:Just want to know what are the food items we can consider for this age..
Doctor:You can start with semisolid food.
User:like ?
Doctor:Usually, any food which we have at home can be given.
Doctor:Like rice, fruits, vegetables.
Doctor:Only thing is that, you have to start one food item in a week.
Doctor:It is just to make sure that they do not have any allergy to any particular food.
User:How do we know if they allergetic to a type of food ?
User:what are the symptoms ?
Doctor:If they are allergic to any food items, the baby might start with vomiting or loose motions.
Doctor:There may be symptoms of allergy such as skin rashes with itching.
User:Why do they reduce the mother's milk content ?
Doctor:I didn't get you.
Doctor:If you mean why we have to reduce mother's milk content,
Doctor:Mother's milk is very nutritious. But that would not be enough to give all the nutrition required for the child once they reach 5-6 months of age.
Doctor:So we need to give other food along with it.
Doctor:Mother's milk needs to be continued till the age of 2 years.
Doctor:Are you following what I have said till now?
Doctor:Are you there?
Doctor:Are you there?
User:I am back..
Doctor:Have you understood what I said earlier?
User:No I meant that my kid has reduced the intake of the content of the mother;s milk..
User:Just want to know what could be the reason behind this...
Doctor:It could be due to various reasons.
User:Even after several hours of sleeping he unwilling to take mothers milk in his mouth..
User:Actually based on my elder's suggestion We have tried orange juice from last two days...
Doctor:When there is reduced milk output, or if he is starting to teeth, or if fever or gastric problems, occasionally they can reduce the intake.
Doctor:Orange juice can be given.
User:And we saw that after giving that he has started reducing milk...
Doctor:Otherwise how is the child's activity?
User:He is doing normall
Doctor:Probable that he might be having a stomach irritation.
User:When he is not drinking mother's milk,, we tried to give orange juice...and he drank very fast...
Doctor:If his activity, urine output and motion is normal, then there should be no reason to worry.
Doctor:you just need to continue trying to feed on milk and try to include other diet in his food.
User:thanks for your advices..
User:we will follow and get back if necessary..
Doctor:I hope I was of help to you.
Doctor:Is there anything else I could help you with?
