User:Very Good afternoon
Doctor:How can I help you?
User:i have query regarding my 14 months old kid
Doctor:Please proceed with the query.
User:she don't have food properly
Doctor:Is she on breast feeding?
User:she will h ave food very little, little is ok but some time what ever she consumes she omit it. no she is not on breast feeding
Doctor:Until what age was she breast fed?
Doctor:The best food for children until the age of 6 months is exclusive breast feeding.
User:11 months, but from born she is into omiting even milk, cerelac, rice, but she have ragi but the consistancy to b thin or liquid enough
Doctor:After that it is best to have breast feeding along with normal food till the age of 2 years.
Doctor:After 2 years only normal food.
Doctor:Now, as you are telling that she is not having enough food, and is also having vomiting immediately after food, it needs to be evaluated.
Doctor:You can also try giving food little by little, but at frequent intervals.
User:milk was not sufficient so we started feeding her with cerelac, now she is 14 months still she omits min 1 time a day, i have tried all types like making her to eat only 4 spoons stop and again make her eat after half an hour.
Doctor:May I know her weight now?
Doctor:What was her birth weight?
User:8.5 kgs, birth weight was 3.25
Doctor:She is around 1 Kg less from an ideal weight.
Doctor:But it is just that, she is on the lower end of a normal scale.
User:she likes to have water a lot, milk, juice but not solid food. as she eats less weight she wont sleep properly repeatdly she will get up and ask for milk (bottle milk)
Doctor:I understand your concern.
Doctor:She is waking up because she is not fed well.
Doctor:I will guide you regarding this.
User:now any other option to make her eat neatly
Doctor:Please note the following things.
User:s pls
Doctor:1. It is important that the child is experienced in having solid food.
Doctor:Please do give her solid food though she like liquid food more.
Doctor:Otherwise she will not learn chewing.
User:ok doctor
Doctor:Later it will become a difficulty.
User:she wont have spicy atleat a little also, all food has to be given with milk and sugar
Doctor:It is fine to have vomiting once or twice in a day after giving solid food.
Doctor:The child has to be taught what to eat and what not to eat.
User:ok we will feed her with rice and ghee making it solid
Doctor:Regarding spicy food, it is better to give less spices.
Doctor:Try not to give water more in between the feeding.
User:infact she wont have spicy only, she eats rice with lot of water infact rice to be mixy. ok doctor thankyou a lot we will make her eat solid food, we have tried a lot diverting her to other things still she just split it from month.
Doctor:Have you understood my suggestions?
Doctor:It is usual for kids to be resistant to feeding during this age.
Doctor:So do not worry.
User:yes doctor rather than mixing the rice with water, i'll smash the rice and make her eat solid with ghee and in between make her drink water
Doctor:The condition will improve soon. So do not worry.
Doctor:Just stick to the plan.
User:thank a lot for suggestions. have a nice day
Doctor:She will also increase the weight soon.
Doctor:Thanks for consulting me.
Doctor:Is there anything else I could help you with?
User:no doctor nothing else
User:thank you so much once again
Doctor:You are welcome.
Doctor:Have a nice day!!
User:you too
Doctor:Bye for now.
