Doctor:1. Regarding vaccination
User:Please go ahed..
User:Hello Dr XXXXXXX
Doctor:Government of India has recognized few infections such as polio, tuberculosis, tetanus, hepatitis, measles, diptheria and pertusis.
Doctor:These infections needs to be covered by vaccinations for all children
Doctor:Apart from these there are other infections which you can opt to vaccinate your child with.
Doctor:That includes rotavirus, pneumonia, chicken pox, influencza and so on.
User:Okay, These are optional vaccinations, am I correct?
Doctor:A vaccination card is available at most general or other hospitals.
User:If yes, please ensure the period of the child eligible for these vaccinations.
Doctor:Yes, these are optional vaccinations.
User:The vaccination card doesn't have the optonal medicines for the child, apart form the default vaccinations.
Doctor:At the age of 2 years, your child should be covered by most of the infection recognized by Govt of India except tetanus.
Doctor:Tetanus dose needs to be boostered at 5 years and 15 years.
User:So, I heard the H1N1 is for the yearly basis and it should preferably for asthma, is it right?
User:My son have the wheezing problem, is this suitable and should need this vaccination
Doctor:Apart from this polio vaccination given as oral polio drops can be given for added benefits till the age of 5.
Doctor:I am not sure which all vaccines your child has received, your pediatrician may not that.
Doctor:Though these vaccines are given at specific time intervals (which is generally over by the age of 2)
Doctor:if your child has missed a vaccine/vaccines
Doctor:you can give them now
Doctor:So discuss with your pediatrician.
Doctor:Another way of knowing the vaccines received is by checking blood for immunglobin levels for these illness.
Doctor:if your child has been vaccinated, you can check specific antibody titres of each and
Doctor:if the titres are low, it implies your son is not vaccinated or not completely vaccinated.
Doctor:You can give those vaccines now.
Doctor:As far as H1N1 vaccine is concerned,
Doctor:it is given only after the age of 3 years, unless there is
User:May I know the cost of H1 N1 vaccination
Doctor:a serious risk.
Doctor:Your pediatrician would know that.
Doctor:If your pediatrician predicts there is a serious illness which can be worsened by H1N1 influenza virus
Doctor:then you can opt to vaccinated your child with this vaccine.
Doctor:Have you followed what I suggested?
User:As our pediatrician, informed this is for asthma patients, as your son has wheezing problem as the asthalin and seraflo inhaler is using form past 1 and 1/2 year so its good to have the H1 and N1, is it correct?
Doctor:Asthma is a condition which can affect the progress of H1N1 infection
Doctor:and yes, your doctor is right
User:Oh, Okay..
User:May I know the cost of this vaccination?
Doctor:With the back ground history of asthma, H1N1 infections can become serious and so it is a good option to vaccinate the child.
Doctor:The vaccine is available in the form of nasal spray or injections.
Doctor:The cost would vary accordingly.
User:Doctor is suggesting injection, so I need to know the cost for it.
User:please let me know the cost of it.
Doctor:It may cost about 500 to 1000 per dose.
User:Thanks for your information.
User:Is ther any vaccination for the high fever or typhoid?
Doctor:Yes, there are vaccines available for typhoid,
Doctor:however since the most common cause of fever is a viral illness,
Doctor:we do not have an effective vaccines for that.
Doctor:Have you followed?
User:Okay, so it depend of the viral illness, and it should be suggested with pediatric doctor and the vaccination accordingly?
Doctor:There are thousands of different strains of virus and each infection leaves with short duration immunity
Doctor:that is why we do not recommend vaccination for all viral illness.
User:Oh, that great information from you.
Doctor:A very few viruses which are deemed aggressive such as infleunza is covered by vaccines
Doctor:So if your pediatrician suspects such aggressive viral infection, we can consider vaccination for such illness.

Doctor:Hope it is clear.
