Doctor :   please proceed with your health query
Doctor :   ok.
Doctor :   please describe your symptoms in detail
User :   well for about 3 weeks ive been having chest pains
User :   and some gas trouble
User :   especially in my esophagus
User :   and now my stomach is felling uncomfortable
User :   i can not eat without burping
User :   and i get full really fast
Doctor :   ok. these symptoms do suggest possibility of gastritis, the possibility of cancer needs further investigations to confirm.
Doctor :   since when you are having these symptoms?
Doctor :   have you had recent weight loss of more than 3 kg's in a month?
User :   no
Doctor :   do you have loss of appetite?
User :   not really, i eat less though
Doctor :   ok. have you taken any medications to control symptoms?
User :   yeah i took a zantac
User :   it helps a little but not that much

User :   yes they do
Doctor :   were you regular on Zantac? how many times a day have you taken it?
User :   no im not regular on zantac
User :   ive only taken it twice
User :   i got drunk with my friends this weekend and had a really bad chest pain
User :   and thats when my stomach has been giving me trouble
Doctor :   I would recommend you to try these steps: Doctor :   for medications to show effects, you need to take complete course of treatment
Doctor :   1) take Tab Prilosec 1 tablet two times a day before food
Doctor :   2) avoid spicy, oily foods, have simple and easy to digest foods for few days
Doctor :   3) drink plenty of water.
User :   is there a chance of stomach cancer?
Doctor :   4) avoid citrus fruits and juices
Doctor :   5) if the symptoms do not resolve with these measures in 1 week time, then consult a gastroenterologist
User :   how long does stomach cancer become fatal?
Doctor :   for a examination and endoscopic examination' to rule out gastric or dudenal ulcers which are more common causes for your symptoms than cancer
Doctor :   if these ulcers are left alone and are chronic, they might cause cancer
Doctor :   stomach cancer at your age is minimal in occurrence
Doctor :   so get started with the recommended steps
Doctor :   and see if you have any improvement
User :   sometimes its hard for me to swollow my food?
User :   is this common for ulcers?
Doctor :   the endoscopy done will also help to visualize if any cancerous changes are present.
Doctor :   due to reflux, there will be esophageal irritation and inflammation leading to swallowing difficulty
Doctor :   alcohol will worsen your symptoms, avoid alcohol in all forms
User :   okay i have only a few more questions
Doctor :   sure. please proceed
User :   i am still worried about cancer
User :   what is the general time limit for the cancer?
User :   before it becomes to late to treat?
Doctor :   stomach cancers in your case is a rare possibility . it is always best to first confirm what the symptoms are due to rather than assuming rare causes
Doctor :   simple and common causes should be looked for and if they get ruled out then possibility of cancer should be looked for
Doctor :   it usually progresses slow
User :   okay as for sleeping tonight?
Doctor :   and early diagnosis and start of treatment helps in preventing progression and complications
Doctor :   take a Zantac tablet and eat a light dinner before sleeping
Doctor :   avoid sleeping immediately after food, there should be 1-2 hours gap between eating and sleeping.
Doctor :   consider meeting a gastroenterologist at the earliest
User :   okay so you are positive there is no cancer?
User :   and how long will this ulcer last?
Doctor :   since I am not examining you and do not have proof from investigations, I cannot tell you exact diagnosis about cancer
Doctor :   byt your symptoms of recent onset and severity suggests acute severe gastritis, or peptic ulcer disease
Doctor :   with further investigations, teh exact cause can be made out
Doctor :   with adequate treatment, diet changes and lifestyle changes you should have complete relief in 2-3 months time
Doctor :   diet changes include avoiding oiliy spicy and heavy meals
Doctor :   avoiding citrus fruits and juices
User :   okay and so i will not develop anything
User :   that can kill me haha?
Doctor :   lifestyle changes include avoiding alcohol, taking adequate rest, stress management.
Doctor :   have you followed what I have said?
