User :   have been having chest pain sudden and severe. Only lasts 3 or so minutes and i break out in a hot sweat, not a cold sweat. Hormonal? or heart problem. I'm 49 and female.
Doctor :   Hi
User :   hi
Doctor :   may i know if you have your periods regularly ?
User :   none for 5 years
Doctor :   can you describe the chest pain , severity from 1-10 ?
User :   Last nights episode lasted about 3 minutes, but then was intermittently dull untill going to bed. Did not have any this am.
User :   Last night it rated a 6 on scale
Doctor :   have these symptoms similar to those that you had anytime earlier (when u attained menopause) ?
User :   Have had these episodes x 2 years. Seems like the hot flashes i used to have were different. I would feel flushed and then sweat. No chest pain. Last night I had the very hot sensation, sweating and chest pain together. I just dont want to go to ER or Dr. unless hot sweats could also go with heart problems. Everything I read is cold sweats
Doctor :   can you tell me if you had any pain along the left chest and the left arm pain ?
User :   Did have a strange weak sensation to the left shoulder, but it only lasted a few minutes.
User :   The chest pain itself was behind the left breast
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   in this case, getting a stress test would help to know if you have risk of CAD
User :   But what do you think about that hot sweat. Do you ever here about this going along with cardiac problems?
Doctor :   sweating is associated with cardiac issues ,
Doctor :   like a angina or a vasovagal attack
User :   Thank you I appreciate your help.
Doctor :   You are most welcome
