User :   i have had chest pain for about a month now right in center of chest. also having palpitations and feeling generally unwell. a few weeks back i went to hospital and had an ecg done with bloods and chest x ray and all were normal but im scared its my heart
i am 35 year old female

Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :
Let me read it
Doctor :
Doctor :
Since you have got an ECG done
Doctor :
I dont think that it is necessary for you to worry
User :   but why would i ahve this pain constantly
Doctor :   I shall explain you

Doctor :
Pain could be due to muscle related
Doctor :
or gastric one as well
User :   but what about the palpitations and feeling unwell...lightheaded and sick
Doctor :   so it need not be just heart related

Doctor :
could be anxiety related as well
Doctor :   How about the variation of the pain with exercise?

User :   the pain is constant in middle of chest in between breasts and in left breast
Doctor :   Ok

User :   no cahnge with exercise
Doctor :
With the ECGs being normal, and with the symptoms and no variation with exercise
Doctor :
it favors more in terms of being anxiety related
Doctor :   Do you agree upon that?
User :   would the pain be constant with that and sometimes i feel as if my heart rate changes. goes realy slow for few seconds then speeds up etc
User :   does cardiac pain last for weeks and constant
Doctor :   It becomes more evident if you are free

Doctor :
if you are engaged with certain activities, it becomes less evident
User :   the pain is just there 24 hors a day and is the same the whole time
Doctor :   What is the severity of the pain over a scale of 1 to 10?
User :   about a four
Doctor :
Can you describe the pain, as squeezing / pricking / stabbing / burning?
User :   its just a dull constant pain cant really describe it as any of the above
Doctor :   My opinion is that it is less likely to be a cardiac related

User :   that is what everyone else thinks but i am still so worried because it wont go away
Doctor :   Ok

Doctor :
I do understand your concern
User :   think everyone is missing something
Doctor :
May I know your height and weight?
User :   12 stone and 5 ft 7
Doctor :
Doctor :   Around 168 pounds?

User :   yes
Doctor :   Ok

Doctor :
that does show that you are a bit overweight
Doctor :
I am interested to know it because both gastric as well as anxiety symptoms are more evident in them
User :   ok
Doctor :   Do you want to go for further tests?

Doctor :
the next one is an Echo and a TMT
User :   so i should try not to worry about this pain being you think i need to get more tests done? what is a tmt
Doctor :   Stress test or a Treadmill test

User :   oh i had one of them too a a few months back was normal
Doctor :   Fine
Doctor :
that makes you more secure
User :   so i should just try and forget about it
Doctor :   True

Doctor :
