User :   I have a bad pain on the left side right underneath my rib cage...

User :   Depeneds when im laying down flat its fine. But the mintue i stand up it hurts really bad. So i would say 7 or 8

User :   Yes I have

User :   Ive been having it on and off for 2 years now. But it never last this long. Plus I have been constiapted since monday. So maybe that causes it?

User :   Not as bad. It used to be worse. It just is laster longer now.

User :   I drank water. Took a nap. And it usually went away. Not it doesnt

I mean burning or squeezing or pricking or pressing or stabbing kind?
User :   Sharp. Pressuring pain. Makes me want to curl up into a ball.

User :   No

User :   No just left side.

User :   A day. or somtimes just 4 hours

User :   When I went to the doctor a year ago they said I have lots of acid in my stomach. And Ive had problemes with constiapation. But thats it. I just take pepcid compelte and anitacids.

WEre you investigated with some tests or procedures then?
User :   No

I think it is the time now to get investigated soon as the intensity of the pain you say is large

You might need some blood tests, ECG or Endoscopy if necessary after examination by the Family Physician

User :   Kidney stones. Thats all I think.
User :   I am 1200 miles away from home. Im going home in 2 weeks. Is there anything that will help the pain untill then? I dont want to go to the doctor here, when I already have one back home.

Kidney stones at lower 1/3 of rib cage is a possibility

Only thing that you can do is to take symptomatic treatment with pain killers and antacids

For acute pain take AXID / MYLANTA

User :   Yes but only when it hurts.

Did you try if liniments like FLEXALL topical application helps and then hot fomentation with hot water bags
User :   No never heard of them before??? Ive tryed a hot towel on it.

If not, you can try them first with FLEXALL / TIGER BALM topical application and then hot bag
