Hello...'m a 57 year old male, generally in good health. About 6 months ago, I was doing some lifting, and I felt like I was completely"out of gas" (1st time ever) panting along with chest discomfort. (no sharp pains) I've since had a stress test, pulmonary test, EKG..etc. etc. and its not getting better. Almost feel like I'm going to pass out sometimes just walking. My doc thought it could be anxiety or stomach related. Put me on Nexium for 2 weeks, and now just started Lexipro. She called today thinking it could be gall bladder. I know it's trial and error, but I really want to get to the bottom of this, my patience is running out, as well as I'm worried that I might just keel over one day because of something that was missed. She's convinced its not my heart. I had 2 heart scans done over the past 7 years showing 0 plaque at the time. I also have heart disease on both sides of the family. Can you please help? Thanks in advance!
Doctor :   Hi,
Doctor :   Let me read your query for sometime to be able to have a good discussion her
Doctor :   When was the last heart investigation done?
User :   What type of investigation are you referring to?
Doctor :   I meant the EKG and the scan you mentioned ?
User :   The Ekg was 4-6 weeks ago...the heart scan was at least 5-6 years ago
Doctor :   Ok, Have you got an Endoscopy done ?
User :   No
Doctor :   Ok, Please describe me about your chest discomfort
User :   not really painful just feeling pressure discomfort and winded, then I get very light headed when i sit down it gets better after a few minutes... this doesn't happen all the time... it kind of comes out of nowhere
Doctor :   Is it related anyhow to the food intake ?
User :   Not sure how to judge that
Doctor :   I mean discomfort more on having food or just before having food
User :   No, I see no relation to before or after
Doctor :   ok, Do you feel breathless or excessive sweating during the episode ?
User :   no sweating, just breathless...just had a blood teat Friday to see if there were any clots...came back negative
Doctor :   do you digestion problems ?
User :   Sometimes... I have been diagnosed with diverticulitis
Doctor :   Ok, Then in that case a gall bladder problem has to be ruled out
User :   So where do i go from here
Doctor :   you will need a abdominal Ultrasound scan and an endoscopy for the same to be confirmed
Doctor :   both the tests will give a final touch in diagnosing your problem
User :   she wants to schedule an ultra you think a gall bladder problem can give these types of symptoms?
Doctor :   yes, the symptoms are typical
