Doctor :   Hi
User :   On Tuesday 21st October I was raped, it was unprotected and his semen went inside me. I took the morning after pill on Wednesday but didn't tell my doctor what had happened. On Saturday I got a sore throat with swollen tonsils, I looked on the internet for early symptoms of STI's and HIV came up so i'm really worried about that, so I went to the doctors on Monday and she took a swab from my tonsils and a blood test, I was too scared to let her take vaginal swabs. Anyway, now it's a week after the rape and i've just started a period, it'd be all normal for most people but not for me as I have PCOS and only have about one period a year! Do you think it's just all a coincidence that the rape and then a week later my sore throat and period happened?
User :   hi by the way
Doctor :   let me read it
Doctor :   It could be a coincidence
User :   is there any chance it could be pregnancy?
Doctor :   since you had taken the pill within 48 hrs after unprotected intercourse and since yu have already got a proper period
Doctor :   there are less chances of you being pregnancy
User :   anything else you have to say to help?
Doctor :   Nothing in particular, just take care of your sorethroat, and get a pregnancy test to help you definitely confirm you are not pregnancy
