User :   I am trying to conceive since over 6 months

User :   But since the past 6 months my periods are coming once in 2 months.

User :   2 months ago i missed my periods and had the following symptoms
User :   nausea, throughout the day , weakness, and increase of brreast size
User :   i assumed i was pregnant but my pregnancy test came out negative and i had my periods 40 days after my LMP

User :   I have tried the cervical mucus method and BPT method prior to trying to conceive which was normal when i was having my normal cycle
User :   Yes I have done my throid its Normal
Doctor :   Did you take any medicines recently for postponement or preponement of periods or for any other medical problems?
User :   No medication
Doctor :   Did you get an Ultra sound pelvis done recently?
User :   last month i was given progesterone for resuming my periods

User :   but my periods come on their own with interval of 75-80 days
User :   No I have not done my ultrasound

User :   what is the best course of action here.
Doctor :   I suggest that you get an Ultrasound Pelvis done and get an opinion from a gynaecologist.
Doctor :   A condition called Polycystic Ovaries has to be ruled out.
Doctor :   You may need some hormonal tests like
User :   I went to gynecologist last month but she did a vaginal examination tried to feel my ovaries and told me that my ovaries are of normal size hence i do not need any ultrasound.
Doctor :   LH, FSH done to know whether you are ovulating or not.
Doctor :   I also suggest that you get your husband evaluated also
User :   How do I suggest my doctor to consider these tests when she says I do not need them as my ovaries are not palpable.
Doctor :   Was there any recent illness that you got?
User :   Nope
Doctor :   She would probably suggest them herself once you go back for a check up.

Doctor :   Once it has been established whether you are ovulating
Doctor :   or not, then further course of action can be taken
Doctor :   Infertility is considered when the couple have not been able to conceive for atleast 1 yr
Doctor :   with unprotected regular intercourse
Doctor :   You can also consider waiting for some more time.

Doctor :   The most common cause could be either anovulation or failure to produce the ovum
Doctor :   due to hormonal imbalances
User :   if it is anovulation what is the course of action?

Doctor :   Anovulation (failure to produce the egg cells )may need some
Doctor :   special medications
Doctor :   it can be corrected with these

Doctor :   These are hormonal medicines that will be prescribed by your Gynaec if needed
