User :   My daughter is having habit of teeth grinding during her sleep. What is the cause?
Doctor :   May i know the age of your daughter ?
User :   She is 8years 9months old.
Doctor :   Teeth grinding is a involuntary reflex occuring in kids or even in adults and its just a habit issue
Doctor :   Its just as if they are eating or chewing during their sleep, or it could also be a sign of stress
User :   But I read that this can cause dental problem later.
Doctor :   There is no disease or issue that causes it
Doctor :   yes teeth grinding can cause persistant pain due to jaw joint problems
User :   So do you mean I should just ignore this. This is lot disturbing when she starts this. Some times it continues for few minutes.
