User :   what is Microvascular Ischemic White Matter Change on my MRI of the Brain Mean.
Doctor :   HI,
User :   Hello
User :   I hope you can help
Doctor :   Microvascular Ischemia means death of the tissue due to lack of blood supply by a small blood vessel
User :   And can this be found or is it common in MS P/t's
Doctor :   if its in the brain where tha blood supply bt a small vessel is compromised then the area supplied by it dies , its called Microvascular Ischemic White Matter ( two types of matter in brain white and grey )
User :   Are there long term effects to this and could it have been caused by an IED explosion resulting in TBI
User :   Tramatic Brain Injury (TBI)
Doctor :   yes, it can be caused by what you mentioned, the density of danger can be determined by the size of the area involved
User :   its 5mm
Doctor :   well its small , but also depends on which part of the brain involved , i mean functional part
User :   its in the frontal lobe
User :   right side
Doctor :   then i do not think its of danger and its surely self limiting
User :   thats just one of them that was the biggest there were several others in the back portion of the brain as well
User :   does that frontal lobe have anything to do with memory
Doctor :   have to consider the size and the area of involvement
Doctor :   yes, frontal lobe deals with memory but a 5 mm infarct may not have serious effects
User :   but is that where the memory part of the brain is??
User :   short-term memory
Doctor :   may be
User :   ok well thankyou so much for your helf can you answer one more thing for me though
User :   what is migrainous disease
Doctor :   yes,
Doctor :   its Migraine
User :   so its nothing more than that it says disease
Doctor :   Migraine is a neurological syndrome characterized by altered bodily perceptions, severe headaches, and nausea.
User :   so it's most likely a life long type deal
Doctor :   some do use the term disease , but its the same
Doctor :   yes, it is a chronic type of illness
User :   ok well that does it for me you have been a great deal of help so thanks again
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting me , kindly provide your feedback
