User :   Hello Doctor, 37yr old white male 6ft 2 in 102kg's (not that overweight)
Doctors trying to work out what is wrong with me for some time no luck - someone mentioned to me that maybe all symptoms may be related to my Kidneys?
2006 - very bad joint pains in feet, Uric acid levels very high
2007 - joint pain still very bad after MRI they say too much damage to be gout.
2007 - rash continues on penis and anus (current) said to be possible psoriatic arthritus
2008 - rash worsens and spreads to back of head
2009 - joint pain goes away but uric acid still high
2009 - trouble breathing, feel like suffocating - O2 sats at 90 - 92 when resting....... breathing improves when excercising - spirometry tests ok...better after excercise - heart test ok chest ct ok
2010 - need to excecise to feel like I can breathe 4 games soccer a wk
2010 - urine seems frothy even when peeing into cup slowly - I drink a fair bit of pepsi max
Can I buy a home test kit for protien leak?
Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :   Let me read your query
User :   howdy
User :   No problem
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   Havent you got a urine routine test previously?
User :   I thought i had...... think they would have to define the uric acid level..or is that in blood tests
Doctor :   Uric acid is done both in blood and urine
Doctor :   but he blood level is of consideration
User :   I cant recall getting urine test done for long time..but def blood tests
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   It is better to get a Microalbumin urine test done
Doctor :   initially
Doctor :   to detect protein loss
User :   Ok will ask for that...can i just buy a dipstick kit?
Doctor :   For immediate use, you can as you are talking about cloudy urine
Doctor :   but the other cause of that is urinary infection
User :   what i really want to know is - could this all be related - can kidneys affect feeling like bretahing does nothing
Doctor :   so a urine routine is also required
User :   not pissing razor blades
Doctor :   I could not get you
User :   not cloudy....
User :   bubbly..very frothy like the head of a beer
User :   wouldnt urinary tract infection cause me to painfully pee
Doctor :   Yes, I did include that in a different term
Doctor :   Pain, burning, fever are the symptoms
Doctor :   but sometimes even without symptoms, it can be existent
User :   no fever
User :   oh ok
User :   so what do you suggest
Doctor :   so for the benefit of doubt, a urine routine to see if there are Pus cells
Doctor :   which does indicate an infection
User :   ok...could it all be related though..the psoriasis, joint pain..bretahing etc
Doctor :   they are not the possible causes
User :   ???
Doctor :   most of the times it is pus cells and proteinuria
User :   not lilely to be linked
User :   could softdrink make your pee frothy
Doctor :   No
User : whats the test i should ask for, or do you suggest the home kit?
Doctor :   Along with home kit, Urine routine is required
Doctor :   which has to be done in lab
User :   ok so ask for urine routine test from my GP?
Doctor :   Right, that is ideal
Doctor :   Do get back to me with the test results
Doctor :   Or you can consult our Urologist as well
Doctor :   for the test interpretation
User :   ok...will do just to be sure its not possible that the low o2 sats are caused by kidneys not producing enough red blood cells
Doctor :   Sure, that should not bother you
User :   ???
User :   bad english LOL
Doctor :   Sure, I shall try to improve
Doctor :   I meant that the one you mentioned is not the likely cause
User :   is it possible low o2 saturation readings are caused by lack of red blood cells from kidney disease?
Doctor :   because lack of red blood cells shall be picked up by Hb estimation
Doctor :   and also a RBC count
User :   hb estimation?
User :   oooh blood tests would have found this?
Doctor :   90% O2 saturation does not mean low RBC
Doctor :   for your information
Doctor :   Hb means Hemoglobin
User :   ok...can semen in urine stream cause protien and therefore bubbles?
Doctor :   Spermatorrhoea
Doctor :   it is not a medical problem
Doctor :   so, that does happen only once in a while
User :   I know but could masterbation casue my urine to be frothy?
Doctor :   I am talking about the same
User :   oh i c only straight after...
User :   ok let you go Doc...thanks
Doctor :   Thank you, bye for now
User :   qtn
