User :   hi.. my little boy of four has one pupil which dilates larger than the other. sometimes they are both the same and sometimes its the other eye which dilates more. he is healthy and has no known health issues. what do you think? i think he has had this a while

User :   i dont remember. his eyes have often looked different but i thought maybe it was that one was a little darker than the other

User :   no.. it is sometimes in the other eye.sometimes they are both the same

Doctor :   Pupil dilates due to amount of light which fall on it.
User :   yes. i know that.. they both contract the same but sometimes one pupil is larger

User :   i took him to the window

User :   no i dont see any

User :   thankyou.. i looked on the interent and it said it may be a sign of serious illness ie a tumor that worried me
