User :   Hi Dr XXX
User :   My mom had some pain in the ankle
User :   We got an xray done and the xray suggests bone growth
Doctor :   ok
User :   It generally pains whn she walks long distance
User :   what is the reason why it happens and whats th solution?
Doctor :   the pain she is having could be attributed to the bone spur/overgrowth pressing on sot tissues
Doctor :   the remedy lies in getting it operated if the pain comes on every now and then with walking
Doctor :   followed by physiotherapy to help in faster recovery
User :   operated?
Doctor :   yes, to remove the extra bone growth observed in the x-ray which is causing the pain
User :   is there any other way it can be controlled?
Doctor :   temporary relief can be achieved with local application of heat and ointments like Volini gel, but as the growth continues, even temporary measures will not be effective.
Doctor :   and since it is due to something inside pressing on soft tissues, external measures will not be 100% efective
User :   ok.Thanks Doc
