Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :
Doctor :   How may i help you?
User :   55 yr. old male developed burning in both nipples about 4 weeks ago. pain moved to left side of chest and down left arm. seen in ER twice and they ruled out heart issues. also, recently had upper GI that ruled out possible ulcer as suggested by another doctor on this site. also had mammogram and ultrasound to rule out any immediate chest issues. Pain is across middle back and discomfort in lower abdomen (mostly on the left). after eating and drinking i get bloating and mild discomfort. any suggestions i could take to my local health care provider would be appreciated. pain levels are 7-8
Doctor :   Give me a moment let me read your query
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   Now your complaints are mainly related to pain in middle back and lower abdomen
Doctor :   Do you have these symtpoms flare up after food]
User :   correct but discomfort in chest
Doctor :   Is it like burning sensation

Doctor :   In mid chest
User :   I have just some bloating and mild discomfort after food but symptoms are always present
Doctor :   Do you tend to aspirate food after hour or so
Doctor :   In the sense feeling of nausea with mild regurgitation
User :   No more like a deeper pain, dull ache
User :   no
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   I would suggest you to start on a course of Antacids
Doctor :   And also shift to regular and healthy food habits
Doctor :   DO you sleep regular atleast 8 hrs a day
Doctor :   And do you smoke?/ consume alcohol?
User :   have started on over the counter Mylanta for last 48 hrs. not much difference
Doctor :   That will not help
Doctor :   You should start with Proton pump inhibitors
User :   No smoking, very little alcohol average diet
User :   what is a proton pump?
User :   2 tests have been ordered for me for next week an abdominal ultrasound and HIDA gallbladder
Doctor :   These are group of antacids which prevent or reduce acid production
Doctor :   Even that will help
Doctor :   Any gall bladder abnormailty will haveassocited pain and bloating
User :   I have had a lot of pain and mild bloating after food or drink
Doctor :   In the abdomen region?
Doctor :   Meant lower?
User :   Pain has been continuous in one form or another for the last 4 weeks (wether nipples or back) but seems to be more on the left side rather than right
Doctor :   Was any blood tests done

Doctor :   Serum amalyse will identify gall bladder issues
Doctor :   Which is raised in gall bl;adder issues
User :   At ER when checking for heart issues
Doctor :   ya

Doctor :   Are you there?
User :   yes
Doctor :   Are you searching for the reports
User :   since upper GI ruled out ulcer they have put me on pain meds which do allow me to at least rest at night
Doctor :   Gall bladder obstruction or stones will also cause such issues
Doctor :   Which mostly will need laproscopic intervention after confirming the same
User :   It will take at least a week to get the tests done. Any suggestions other than taking pain meds?
Doctor :   Avoid spicy food , restrict alcohol, drink plenty water and also mainly avoid fatty foods
Doctor :   You can rather add more fibre to diet, like more fruits and vegetables as salads#
Doctor :   Alcohol usage will trigger the pain so try to avoid
User :   any other suggestions other than diet to ease pain
Doctor :   And switch on to Antacids like Syrup GELUSIL 1/2 hr before food

Doctor :   Then just go on with medicines
