User :   Hello?

Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :
How can i help you?
User :   I'm not sure who I'm suppose to talk to but I have questions about eating disorder.
Doctor :
Please proceed with the query?
User :   Its more of a mental/emotional condition than a medical one.
Doctor :
Ok
User :   Are you equipped to deal with this concern?
Doctor :   I shall help you within my expertise.

User :   Alright. Well I get the whole Freud and Jung thing about emotional baggage, parental squabbling and enviromental significance
Doctor :
Ok
User :   I realize that but ever since I was a teenager, I dealt with my problems by over eating
Doctor :
Ok
User :   I never done drugs, don't drink, smoke or sleep around but MY drug of choice is and has always been FOOD!!!
Doctor :
Ok
User :   I'm comfortable in myself when it comes to academics, personality but never as a woman with looks
Doctor :
Fine i shall help you in this.
Doctor :
May i know your weight and height?
User :   Well my height is in cm 175,5 and weight now is 87 kg. I use to weigh 112 kg 5 months ago
Doctor :
Ok.
Doctor :
Eating disorder are of two types.
User :   I'm on a balance diet now. No sweets, sugar or white bread. Just fish, vegatables, sallads
Doctor :
1)Anorexia nervosa wherein people do not eat
User :   I have alwaysed loved food but I have and have alwaysed had a destructive realtionship with it. When I take a day to pig out, I feel guielty and weak
Doctor :   2) bulemia nervosa where in there is over eating.
User :   I've had bulima but never Anorexia
Doctor :
Your symptoms do not match either of these.
Doctor :
Now,
Doctor :   I mean you do not have any eating disorder presently.
Doctor :
You are over weight thouugh.
Doctor :
And that needs correction.
Doctor :
This is neither psychological or emotional.
Doctor :
If i am wrong let me know.
User :   Maybe its both.
Doctor :   Your diet seems ok.
Doctor :   Do you exercise?
User :   Like I said my only vice is FOOD. I'm a very emotional and sensative person and whenever I have problems I bottled them inside and retreat to my shell. I have a hard time talking or opeing up cause I dont want to cause problems for the people around me
User :   I'm use to taking all of the responsibilities on my shoulders and I have a hard time saying NO to things and people. I do not do any exercise, never have. I'm very LAZY when it come to physical stuff, apart from cleaning the house and going out for a walk, I'm mosty off my feet
Doctor :
I am sorry but how is this related to eating disorder??
Doctor :   The problems you have stated can be seen in some kind of individuals.
User :   Its related in the way of my emotions, when I pig out and eat I feel guilty and then i purge, and vomit the food in order not to gain the weight on again
Doctor :
And they are not any kind of medical problems.
Doctor :
OK.
Doctor :
If this is still persisting i shall help you.
Doctor :

Doctor :
Ok.
Doctor :
Have you checked your thyroid status recently?
User :   A month ago maybe
User :   its when I checked it
Doctor :   were it under normal range?
User :   My doctor said I should stay on the drug but not over dose or exceed the dosage
Doctor :
Ok.
Doctor :
thyroid abnormality can some times cause eating disturbances.
User :   Ok, go on please
Doctor :
Hence be regular with those medications.
Doctor :
Bulimia can be treated with medications or behavioural therapy.
Doctor :
You are not on medications for those.
Doctor :
Have you tried behavioural therapy in the past?
User :   Well I wouldnt want to medicate the problem with drugs but solve it more by therapy
