User :   ok so my girlfriend and i didn't have sex but we had unprotected touching of genitals. I did not ejaculate anywhere near her or had ejaculated before. She was late on her period but finally 2 days ago she started having brownish discharges. She took a pregnancy test and it came out negative. She is still a virgin. I am worried
Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :   Let me read your query
User :   ok tyt
User :   maybe another thing that might be of importance to you
User :   she stopped the pill around a couple of months ago
User :   but she had a normal period and was on time the month after she stopped it
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   Going through your query
Doctor :   there is no risk of pregnancy
Doctor :   so no need to worry about the possibility of it
User :   so what could it be?
User :   why is she not having a regular period
Doctor :   The psychological tension
Doctor :   and also if the event was first time in her life
Doctor :   then it does cause such fluctuations
Doctor :   it is functional
Doctor :   and nothing more than that
User :   the reason why am i worried is because i have read many places online of women who had brown spotting as an indicator of pregnancy
User :   and i also know that pre-ejaculate might contain some sperm
User :   so that's why i am worried
Doctor :   Yes, I understand your concern
Doctor :   but without the semen reaching her vagina
Doctor :   there is no possibility of pregnancy
Doctor :   there is no basis for that doubt
User :   what about pre-ejaculate?
Doctor :   You have not penetrated the vagina
Doctor :   hence how does it make a difference even if you ejaculate?
Doctor :   also pregnancy test is also negative
User :   i thought that if there were any traces on the vulva they could make their way in
User :   sorry if im being so paranoid but i`m a pre-med student
Doctor :   such a possibility is not there
User :   so i read and studied about all these 1 in a lifetime scenarios
Doctor :   I do understand your issue
Doctor :   for a double confirmation, may I know her last menstrual period, date of the event and the date brown discharge started?
User :   the last time she had a menstrual cycle was 4 weeks before last friday
User :   she was supposed to get them again friday
User :   she didnt
User :   she started spotting brownish things on tuesday
User :   and felt bloated
User :   (and still feels bloated)
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   when was the event?
User :   it might have been around the time of her ovulation
User :   give or take 2-3 days
Doctor :   Ok
User :   but she has no nausea no vomitting
User :   nothing
Doctor :   Ok
User :   just a little menstrual cramps and bloating
Doctor :   Now I would suggest her to wait for 1 more week
Doctor :   and repeat the test if she does not get a frank period
Doctor :   Does that make sense to you?
User :   well i guess but i would really want your professional opinion on the chances that it might be possible she is pregnant
Doctor :   Sure, I am telling you
Doctor :   if the semen has not entered the vaginal canla
Doctor :   there is no possiblity of pregnancy
Doctor :   with just a trace on the vulva
Doctor :   next is the urine test is also negative
Doctor :   so that adds a point to it
Doctor :   and brownish discharge has nothing to do with pregnancy
User :   there was no semen whatsoever i am 100% of that
Doctor :   so all these points favor she not being pregnant
User :   thanks for your answers
User :   one last thing
Doctor :   Sure
User :   is it true that pre-ejaculate contains sperm?
User :   or does it depend on whether or not the person had ejaculated before
Doctor :   It can contain
Doctor :   and is not risk free
Doctor :   but the chances are very less
Doctor :   negligible
User :   ok thank you very much
User :   you are very reassuring
User :   i hope it goes well
Doctor :   I do hope the best for you
User :   thank you
User :   goodbye
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting me. Bye for now. Please refer your friends to our service.
