User :   I have been diagnosed by my GP with a viral rash. It is red and size oof pimples starting behind ears spreading to neck, chest, stomach, back and top of legs I also have a few spots under arms and on arms. Its the 5th day of rash today. It has been very itchy and it seems to have become less itchy today and still all over but lighter in colour some or the pimples have little brown scabs on. No blisters. Is this a sign of healing?
Doctor :   HI
Doctor :   give me a couple of mins to read your query
User :   hi :-)
Doctor :   has the fever subsided?
User :   yes it seems to off
Doctor :   ok
User :   i was just very lethargic and hot and cold
Doctor :   it usually depends on the type of infection , the rash fades of on its own, depending on the virus type as well as your immunity.
Doctor :   on reading your history, I do feel that they are healing.
User :   with it going lighter in colour do you think this is a good sign
User :   they havent actually gone there still very noticable
Doctor :   yes, they will fade off by getting lighter.
User :   does it sound like viral infection to you
Doctor :   a rash usually accompanies a viral infection.
Doctor :   most of the times accompanied with fever, weakness, lethargy and body aches.
User :   what are the little brown scabs?
User :   there tiny scabs about 2mm

Doctor :   yes, it is possible to get this if you have an infection.
User :   how long shoudl this last
User :   this is the only day it dosent seem to off spread
User :   is this a good sign
Doctor :   with time, as the infection resolves, the rash fades off and the scabs fall
Doctor :   you must wait for few more days, meanwhile can i know if your on any medicines?
Doctor :   If you have no fever, no new rashes around and weakness subsiding, this is a good sign indicating recovery.

User :   yes i have hypothryodism and take 125mcg levothyroxine and vit b12 3 monthly for pernicious anemia
User :   had bloos taken last week and evrything is good
Doctor :   ok, have you done a platelet count?
User :   yeh had fbc done and this was ok to
Doctor :   ok
User :   why what would that mean if platelet count was not right
Doctor :   generally chicken pox, and similar viral infections may manifest this way.
Doctor :   no, since you have rashes, i wanted to know about platelets, as low platelets may cause rashes.but in your case i feel its a viral infection.
User :   ok thanks :-)
Doctor :   can i know your age?
User :   24
