User :   Hi I am a 19 year old female. This is the second day of my period and I went number 2 this morning... I pooped out literally nothing but blood and I know it didn't come frm my vagina because when I took out my tampon, there was hardly any blood on it.
Doctor :   Hello
User :   What might this be?
Doctor :   I am
Doctor :   did you had any abdominal discomfort ?
Doctor :   Is this the first time this has happened ?
User :   I have had abdominal discomfort since my daughter was born 9 mos ago... And yes its the first maybe second time
Doctor :   Was the blood bright red in color ? or dark red ?
User :   Darkish red and it filled the entire toilet
User :   It felt like diarreah but I guess it wasn't
Doctor :   Dark red means that it is not a continuous bleeding thats happening right now
User :   Well it was more bright than it was dark
User :   So what should I do? What do u think it could be?
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   it means that you are having a gastrointestinal bleed
Doctor :   and that needs to be evaluvated
Doctor :   and the only way we do that is that you can get a endoscopy done
Doctor :   you need a physical examination
Doctor :   till then i want you to avoid coffee
Doctor :   and spicy food all together
User :   What exactly does that mean?
Doctor :   it means that it can be a irritation in your digestive system that can be causing the bleeding
Doctor :   to pinpoint the cause an endoscopy is must , its a procedure where a tube will be put inside your stomach from the way of your mouth and a camera will be attached to it to see whats the cause of the bleeding
Doctor :   it gives a clear picture and then you can be treated accordingly
User :   Ok
Doctor :   so its important that you set up an appointment with the gastroenteritis
Doctor :   that is your next best step
Doctor :   gastroentrologist **
Doctor :   it can be a infection
Doctor :   as it can cause blood in stools
Doctor :   but the main point here is that you have to be checked with the physician
Doctor :   i hope you understand what i am telling you
Doctor :   are you there ?
Doctor :   I have to close the window as you are not responding. Please chat with our doctors 24/7 for medical queries.
