User :   hi I am 30 years old and type 1 diabetic.I have a son that is 4 years old and my pregnancy was excellent control according to doctors statements.I was very careful with my first pregnancy,my baby was born at 6.8 lbs.I have a irregular menstrual cycle, every 41 days.
I lost track of my days.By all means about 3 weeks ago I started to demonstrate weird symptoms, bloated, nausea, headaches, cravings, although I said I might be coming on my periods, but I then realized after couple of days that I am so tired,I can sleep anywhere! anytime!,I spotted somewhat pinkish discharge that lasted one day only. Then I felt cramps to my pelvic area and backache.I went to the doctor and they did a urine test and it was negative.Ordered a blood work,I went back home and realized blue veins on my breast and some sort of bumps on the aerola itself, keep in mind that the bloating part has not faded away throughout the whole period.Pains through the side of hips.I had couple of days where i was urinating and drinking alot!!! but it stopped.I went for my bloodwork last friday. This morning on Monday witch is 3 days later I had a urine test and it was faint positive + the line was visible but light.I went to the doctor today and he said that blood came out negative but I am certain I am pregnant,I feel it so much! He ordered that I re-test in 4 days and said maybe I conceived after the blood work and he wants me to go for an ultrasound.I am scared so scared but I know it and feel it!I feel that he knows I am pregnant. He said something else that kind of made me think. He looked at the results and said ''Ok the results look negative, but I will make you do a urine test here in my clinic and if it comes out negative, its good news for me'' Please tell me what he meant
Doctor :   Hi
User :   hello
Doctor :   let me read yoiur query
Doctor :   please give me few minutes
User :   sure
Doctor :   how long have you had such irregular periods ?
User :   I've always had irregualr periods
User :   since I got diagnosed with diabetes
User :   are you still here?
Doctor :   the symptoms described, appear to be either due to ...
Doctor :   2. pregnancy
Doctor :   3. Ectopic pregnancy
Doctor :   4. Hydatidiform mole
Doctor :   all such conditions mentioned can produce symptoms that you have
Doctor :   excess HCG in the urine is what your doctor wants to check at the clinic
User :   what should I do?
Doctor :   you need not worry
User :   I am really tired
User :   and doctors here
User :   where i AM
Doctor :   just get the tests for Urine HCG and an ultrasound , to check for the pregnancy
User :   are very mean with you
Doctor :   I understand ,
User :   My whole body is hurting
User :   my lower back
User :   under my belly I have cramps
Doctor :   are you taking any medications ?
User :   form the side of my hips
User :   yes
User :   INSULIN
Doctor :   other than that ?
User :   NO
User :   no high blood pressure
User :   very good
User :   blood pressure
User :   no other diseases
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   In that case, you can take some Ibuprofen or tylenol for your body pain
User :   doctor gave me materna
User :   and when I wanted to ask him why materna
User :   he did not give me explaination,he was in a hurry
User :   and said,I will see you next week after your blood work and ultrasound
User :   and left the room
Doctor :   this is a multivitamin capsule
User :   I know
User :   please ease my worries
User :   what did the doctor mean when he said'' if the test is negative it is good for me''
Doctor :   it just wanted to make sure that , you were on essential vitamins during your pregancy
Doctor :   if the urine HCG levels are normal, then everything will be normal
User :   can I ask a question?
Doctor :   in case it is high, then , conditions like hydatidifrm mole, which needs to be ruled out
Doctor :   yes sure
User :   according to the doctor say''You could've conceived after your blood test'' is it possible that the blood did not detect enough high HCG in blood and in 4 days it can detect?
Doctor :   yes
User :   really?
Doctor :   it depends on the day you concieved and after conception, the HCG levels rise day to day basis
User :   so 3 days ago it was possible that I am not pregnant, and just today the impletantation took place?
Doctor :   even a error in checking the levels even after 1-2 days will matter in test results
Doctor :   yes
User :   I am so sorry if I am confusing myself and confusing you
Doctor :   consider in a normal individual, ovulation occurs on the 14 th day, and you concieve on 14th day itself, then by 23rd day, the HCG levels will be detectable
User :   If I understand correctly( Last firday when I had a blood test and it came negative, withing those 3 days I could've got pregnant and produce HCG in my blood that quickly?
User :   Doctor I do not keep track of dates, all I could tell you is that I have had unprotected activities since January 28th
Doctor :   so when was your period in january ?
User :   the problem is that my last period was October 31st and that is the first time it happens
User :   I was active before but we were using the pull out method
Doctor :   so u never had any period in january 2011?
User :   no
Doctor :   in that case, it will be difficult to know were you ovulating or not
User :   i know
User :   but I do know the difference between pms and pregnancy
Doctor :   and also, whether this is a pregnancy will depend on the ultrasound
Doctor :   the increase in HCG levels as in hydatidiform mole can cause such symptoms too , similar to pregnancy
User :   I get lower back pain for exactky 2 days and the 4th day my periods arrive and it lasts 4 days
Doctor :   ok
User :   but I do not have an increase doctor
User :   my first pregnancy, they were able to determine that I was 10 days pregnant by blood
Doctor :   what i mean , is the symptoms in your stomach and in your breast, are associated with both pregnancy and molar pregnancy
User :   and by urine it was showing as well
User :   what is a mole pregnancy?
User :   molar
Doctor :   this is a blighted ovum, where in the ovum is fertilised by a abnormal sperm, resulted in abnormal proliferation of cells of the ovum
Doctor :   this is not a normal pregnancy and results in grape like clusters that cause high HCG levels , and bring on symptoms similar to pregnancy
Doctor :   but there is actually no fetus at all
User :   oh my god
User :   why would that happen to me now? I was perfectly fine with my first pregnancy?
Doctor :   you need not worry about this
Doctor :   this is a common condition and there is nothing to worry at all
Doctor :   a ultrasound will confirm this
Doctor :   or even rule it out , and confirm a normal pregnancy
User :   so if I do a urine test tommorow morning and it results to positive, should I still wait 4 days to my blood test?
Doctor :   get a urine test, and then your doctor will decide whether an ultrasound is needed or not
User :   I cant even sleep on my back.I have to sleep on my side with a pillow between my legs to sleep comfortably
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   why dont you take a tylenol for the pain
Doctor :   and apply heat packs to sooth the pain
User :   well the doctor sent me for both ultrasound and blood work,as if he knows there is something but he wants to make sure
User :   and he said that my level is at 4.8
Doctor :   ok
User :   I don't understant that
User :   what is 4.8?
User :   is this high?
User :   dangerous?
User :   he was such in a hurry to leave
Doctor :   That is normal
User :   I was picking up words from him
User :   and try to form a sentence that made sense
User :   but hopefully you will comfort me
Doctor :   upto 3 weeks ,of pregnancy, the the normal levels is 3-50 unitls per ml
Doctor :   so 4.8 is nothing to be worried about
User :   good
Doctor :   do not worry about anything anymore
User :   Doctor I wake up bloated and sleep bloated
User :   my belly got bigger all of a sudden
Doctor :   take activated charcoal tablets 500 mg thrice daily
User :   but I felt the upper stomack
Doctor :   this will reduce the bloating
Doctor :   as well as the abdominal discomfort
User :   but if there is pregnancy, will it affect it I take those meds?
Doctor :   no
User :   ok another question please
Doctor :   this is a inert medication and does not affect pregnancy
Doctor :   sure
User :   I am being so honest with you because no one cares and I figured maybe you can be the one to answer my questions
Doctor :   ok
User :   I feel as if there is something popping inside
User :   a little from the right
User :   sometimes from the left abdomen
User :   some light kicking
User :   tossing and turning
User :   as if there is a fish
User :   swimming
Doctor :   do u think the lower belly has swollen ?
User :   and I find myself putting my hands on my belly
User :   and can feel it
User :   no
User :   Please picture my belly
User :   my whole body is the same,my belly starting from the upper stomack and slightly
User :   going down as an ovale vase
Doctor :   ok
User :   you can see the difference between that ovale vase and the rest of my stomack area
Doctor :   this could be either peristaltic movements of the intestines
User :   yes but why is it like a rock?
Doctor :   the bloating and collection of gas in the intestines , is causing stiffness of abdominal muscles
Doctor :   this is what you feel as a rock
User :   doctor,I am a mother and I feel something is going on with my body, abnormal
Doctor :   there is nothing wrong at all, you will be just fine
User :   as a doctor what do you think?
Doctor :   just be confident
User :   I am
Doctor :   go ahead and get a ultrasound
Doctor :   this will give the best diagnosis
