Doctor :   visit this link to find list of neurologist in ....
Doctor :   first a neuroklogical disorder should be ruled out
Doctor :   the basic investigations will include an ECG
Doctor :   if any problems are found in that you will be refered to cardiologist
Doctor :   what symptoms do you have before having the black out?
Doctor :   sudden loss of consciousness without any accompanying symptoms is called as TIA (transient ischemic attack) and an EEG should be done after the episode
User :   No particular symptoms. On the first occasion i had entered a room and turned around to bolt it. I had a cup of coffee in my hand. that is the last i remember before the blackout. Not sure how long the blackout was either. When i revived i was flat on the ground with the coffee spilt near me.
Doctor :   Get your EEG done and further treatment will be decided after the results.
Doctor :   meet a Neurologist and get a thorough examination done along with further tests like EEG, and CT scan or brain MRI to look for any causes responsible for your symptoms
User :   The first occasion was about 7 months back (November 2009). No recurrence since day before yesterday. I was fast asleep, and woke up all of a sudden as my mother called out for me. I remember getting up suddenly from the bed, momentarily standing for a while and then collapsed immly beside the bed. I was able to get up immly. My mother was in the same room when this happened and states that i fell down and immly got up again.
Doctor :   ok

Doctor :   usually EEG is advised with 48 hours of the episode to pick up any abnormal signals in brain
User :   Looked up the list of neurologists on the link u provided. This is a huge list. Any particular suggestions.
Doctor :   you can still have consultation with the Neurologist and proceed with further treatment.
