User :   i need advise relating to repiratory diseas

User :   my Mother in law was in hospital due to sudden breathlesness
User :   she was there on ventilator for almost 7 days and moved to BIPAP

Doctor :   may i know her age, weight height ?
User :   now she has been discharged from hospital with advise to be on BIPAP during sleep in night
User :   her age 63
User :   weight is 80
User :   yesterday her blood gas analysis was done and results were 60 oxy and 45 Co2

Doctor :   does she have asthma or COPD ?
User :   no she is not asthamatic but cronic COPD

User :   her bp is normal and sugar is normal
Doctor :   from the tests, done, it means that she has high CO2 levels
Doctor :   and low Oxygen levels
User :   yaa when we took her to hospital during critical situation she was at 122 co2
User :   what are the normal limits for these kind of patients
Doctor :   The PAO2 has to be at the level above 95 in normal individuals
User :   how can same be controlled.. she uses BIPAP machine for alomst 15 hours in day
Doctor :   though she is on the machine, she may not be using it properly
Doctor :   she also may help by oxygen therapy at home
User :   wat is the way of getting oxygen therapy
Doctor :   here, O2 is provided by way of nasal oxygen via gas cylinders
Doctor :   the same way they give it in hospital
User :   she walks, she is normal. she talks. she eats.. look normal in all senses...

User :   what is reason for these abnormal test then?
Doctor :   this is coz, the lungs cannot obsorb o2 from the air
User :   is it lfe threatening as well...
Doctor :   the lung blood barrier is diseased, and has thickened
Doctor :   no not lifethreatening
User :   what is the approx cost of nasal oxygen via cylinder if we buy at home
User :   can this be controlled through BIPAP
User :   it same is being used in proper manner....
Doctor :   BIPAP, helps to put in more air in the lungs
Doctor :   as your mother is not able to take it in herself
User :   is there any treatment available which can cure this permanently...
Doctor :   COPD is a chronic condition, and yoga and pranayama can help improve her condition
Doctor :   but this will take some time and will need morre effort from your mother
User :   ok...just one more q.. what is normal blood pressure level in body for age aroung 30 35
Doctor :   120 / 80 to 140 - 85
Doctor :   is the range acceptable
