Doctor :   and if possible i can try to solve it
User :   well do you know if I need to be worried about these lymph nodes in my arm pit and just belowe my arm pit
Doctor :   may i know ur age , weight and how long have u had them ?
Doctor :   also can u tell me if u have any pain in them ?
Doctor :   any symptoms like fever, etc ?
User :   I am 40, I weigh about 100 lbs, 5ft 3in, and they have been there for quite a while under my arm pit, but I just found another one in my arm pit, no fevers, no pain, and they move alot, and are about the size of a bean or even smaller
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   why do u think u need to speak to a neurologist ? do u have any weakness or any pain in the arms ?
User :   my arms feel weak, but there is no clinical weakness or real loss of strength.
Doctor :   also do u have any history of weight loss ?
Doctor :   loss of appetite ?
Doctor :   have u got any blood tests done ?
User :   when all this started last year in febuary I got really nervous, high anxiety and stopped eating for a while and lost weight, it is slowly coming back
Doctor :   any investigations done ?
User :   yes
User :   let me list
Doctor :   ok
User :   MRI of brain and c-spine--all clear
Doctor :   ok , thats good
User :   blood work for b12 thyroid and diabetes and cbc
User :   all clear except
User :   b12 was high
Doctor :   do u know the levels of B12
User :   1800
User :   they told me they only worry when its low
Doctor :   yes thats right
Doctor :   B12 is stored in the body and can help for bout 2 yrs
User :   oh and I also had an EMG done on my legs
User :   all clear they said
Doctor :   was it normal ?
User :   he said it was
Doctor :   so all these tests were done within the last year ?
User :   yes withing the last 9 months
Doctor :   have u had any improvement or deterioration?
User :   no deterioration, no real improvement except my anxiety is lower now
Doctor :   from the history of what you have given me, the lymph nodes could be benign since they are painless , and they could be presented due to lax skin in the arm pit
Doctor :   usually lymph nodes the size of a pea are ok
Doctor :   presence of pain, or size larger than 3cm need to be worried about
Doctor :   also since all the tests including MRI, EMG, BLOOD tests are all normal, the symptoms could be due to anziety
Doctor :   Do u take any medications as of now ?
User :   no I hate meds, LOL
User :   I am a smoker though
User :   and I worry about cancer alot
Doctor :   in that case u need to stop smoking
Doctor :   have u got a mammogram done ?
User :   no
Doctor :   when was the last time done ?
User :   I havnt been offered one yet, my obgyn said I should have one sometime this year but there are no cases of cancer in my family but he said I should have one just because of age and just to check
Doctor :   yes thats right
Doctor :   at the age of 40, u need one
Doctor :   do u feel any swellings in ur breast ?
Doctor :   do u do monthly self breast examination?
User :   no and they were just check by doc last month
Doctor :   so they were normal ?
User :   yes he said he felt nothing, LOL
Doctor :   In that case there is nothing to be worried about
Doctor :   you are completely fine
Doctor :   do u do any physical excercise ?
User :   not much since this all started, my legs feel pretty shaky, and kind of stiff but neuro said that they were not spastic, but they feel pretty tight, and I dont know if this is why I show some clonus??
Doctor :   when u r anxious, you may feel fasciculations
Doctor :   these are due to contractions of individual muscles
Doctor :   and they happedn when u r nervous
User :   well I thought the fasciculations were the twitches I feel. But I'm talking about how my legs feel shaky and feel really tight feeling, hard to explain
Doctor :   a bit of massage therapy as well as some physiotherapy for a few days will help in that case
Doctor :   do u have difficulty walking ?
Doctor :   do u wobble when u walk ?
Doctor :   are u able to walk in a straight line ?
Doctor :   any joint pain ?
User :   my knees hurt quite a bit, I can walk in a straight line, but my legs feel wonky when I walk, like a little clumsy
Doctor :   do ur knees hurt when u walk ? or they hurt all the time ?
Doctor :   even at rest ?
User :   only when they are bending, the pain stops when just sitting for the most part, but if I bend them or walk they hurt, sometimes after I walk a little it stops
User :   maybe it is from sitting around so much
Doctor :   this could be due to tendon related issues
Doctor :   may be there is joint laxity
Doctor :   do u feel your knee bones wobble a lot when u sit ?
User :   no
User :   just a little stiff and painful
Doctor :   i think u will be helped by muscle relaxants
User :   do u think all this could be related to anxiety
Doctor :   this is due to arthrits related muscle spasm
Doctor :   which can be increased by anxiety
User :   hmmmmm
Doctor :   as far as possible, the lympn nodes are fine
Doctor :   you will need an Xray of the knee to look for arthritis and an MRI to look for tendon laxity
User :   oh I forgot they did a sed rate also to check for inflamation
Doctor :   was it normal ?
User :   I was a 5
User :   they said that was good
Doctor :   In that case, there is no need to worry at all
User :   really
Doctor :   you get the Xray and the MRI
Doctor :   this will help to know the exact cause
User :   ok so my legs feeling funny when I walk my be all anxiety??
Doctor :   that is due to the arthritis or the joint laxity
Doctor :   the x ray and the MRI is needed for that reason
Doctor :   i hope i have solved your queries
User :   ok, and one more question about my the lymphnodes
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   are u there ?
User :   the only one that worries me is the one in my arm pit it feel larger than a pee, but still very movable, could it be from sweating when I had the flu last week??
Doctor :   yes any infection can cause lymph node enlargement
Doctor :   movable nodes are benign
Doctor :   any node that is large and fixed could be cancerous
Doctor :   so your case it is benign
Doctor :   since it is small and movable
User :   ok thank u so much
Doctor :   you are welcome
