User :   Doctor i am pain in my lower back and have conducted MRI for the same. Observations are as below: User :   deffuse posterior bluge of L4 L5 disc with small left posterolateral herniation is abuting the thecalsac and left existing L4 nerve route deffuse bulge of L5/S1 disc is abuting the thecalsac and bilateral existing L5 nerve route.

User :   ok..How serious is it ?
User :   what are the precautions and treatment..
Doctor :   It is not life threatening. but cause chronic back pain
Doctor :   Life style modifications are very imprtant.
Doctor :   Can I know you age and occupation?
User :   Age is 34. Working with a bank
Doctor :   Taking frequent break at work will reduce pressure on the back .
User :   ok..
Doctor :   Do you take frequent breaks?
User :   take 2-3 in aday
Doctor :   if so, how often?
User :   every 3-4 hours
Doctor :   Get from chair every 1hour
User :   ok...any major precautions
Doctor :   Do you exercise?
User :   no....
Doctor :   Consult Physical therapy for proper exercises.

Doctor :   Practice Yoga
Doctor :   When you cough, bend you might get pain
Doctor :   In those conditions, you need to take rest.
Doctor :   Coughing increases bulging/aggravates herniation but rest will reduce will hernia. So when you have severe pain you need rest
Doctor :   Transportation is also matters. How do you travel?
User :   by local train
User :   and on bike till station

Doctor :   that is good. Long drives on motor bikes also cause pain .
Doctor :   Maintain a healthy weight. Being overweight puts strain on your back muscles. If you're overweight, trimming down can prevent back pain.
Doctor :   Sit smart. Choose a seat with good lower back support, arm rests and a swivel base. Consider placing a pillow or rolled towel in the small of your back to maintain its normal curve. Keep your knees and hips level.

Doctor :   A good mattress mattress will help

User :   Shall i sleep on the floor for few days
User :   will that help
Doctor :   You can use the bed. but under the bed should be firm
Doctor :   So u can sleep on floor with bed
Doctor :   it will not put strain on the back muscles
Doctor :   Try to sleep flat face-up
