Doctor :   Please proceed with your query.
Doctor :   Hi
User :   my query is regarding my wife's pregenancy
Doctor :   Ok
User :   pregenency is running 36 weeks
Doctor :   Ok
User :   but the movement of baby i very slow
User :   by this week
Doctor :   Ok
User :   is this is normal behaviour of baby or not ..
Doctor :   Usually the movements of baby is considered to be normal if there is 3 movements in an hour or atleast 11 movements in 10 hours.
Doctor :   Ask your wife to count the movements.
Doctor :   If it is slow then you need to see her doctor immediately and an ultrasound would be required to know the exact cause.
User :   i doubt since baby movement before the starting of 36 week was faster then now
Doctor :   Ok.
Doctor :   There are many conditions in which there are chances of decreased movements in the term babies like yours.
Doctor :   The most common would be due umbilical cord around the neck.
Doctor :   So, please see your gynecologist as it is important to know the cause of decreased movements.
Doctor :   If required as the baby is almost matured you can go for delivery.
User :   yes baby matured i think bcoz baby weight 2170 gram in last doppler sonography
Doctor :   OK
Doctor :   Then it would be better to go for delivery once the cause is known.
Doctor :   Please do not delay and speak with your gynecologist at the earliest.
User :   many times doppler sonography is harmful for baby or not?
Doctor :   No, do not worry doppler is not harmful as it is does not work on X rays.
User :   If baby's movement 3 in a hour so it is normal?then wait for 40 weeks
Doctor :   Yes, if the movements are normal and no bleeding or pain then you can wait till complete maturation that is 38 weeks.
Doctor :   Did you follow my suggestions?
User :   ok
Doctor :   Are there any more queries for me to help you with?
User :   yes if we are go for deliver now so deliver is normal or operation?
Doctor :   If the cord is around then it might require cesarean other wise normal would be the option.
Doctor :   depending on the findings.
User :   cord position is shown in doppler sonography?
Doctor :   Yes, it would be observed in the doppler scan.
Doctor :   So, please do not worry and discuss with your gynecologist who will decide the further investigations and treatment required.
