User :   My 5-year old complains that her stomach hurts just about every other day and for the last month she is also complaining that her right armpit hurts. I don't know what to do - I mentioned it to the Dr. (her belly) and he felt and said "it feels nice and squishy". Should I go back? Thank you!!!
User :   hi
User :   Hi - thanks for helping.
User :   since when is your child complaining of this?
User :   For about 5 months
User :   Any thoughts?
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   May I ask you a few questions pertaining to her problem to help you better ?
User :   Certainly
Doctor :   May I know if the child has any diarrhea or vomitings in the last 5 months ?
User :   Neither
Doctor :   May I know if the baby had been checked for a CBC ?
User :   She has not
Doctor :   Ok, Did the child loose any weight or decrease in apetite in the 5 months ?
User :   No - she's at 75% height and 75% weight - she likes to eat :)
Doctor :   Ok. That is good.
Doctor :   Do you see any lymph node enlargement in the right arm pit ? An axillary lymph nodal swelling ?
User :   I just checked - I'm not sure what I'm looking for (not a medical doctor unfortunately, doctor of astrophysics). Nothing seems obvious...
Doctor :   Anything which is nodular or more rugged and you can feel between your fingers like a rough cord ?
User :   Not that I can tell
Doctor :   Ok.No problem.
Doctor :   If the child complains of dull pain or if the stomach hurts for a long time , I would suspect a worm infestation.
User :   Ugh - ok. So back to her pediatrician?
Doctor :   Please see the doctor and ask him to get a small esenophil test done.
User :   Will do - thank you!
Doctor :   Do also get a stool examination done.
Thank you for consulting me
Doctor :   take care
Doctor :   bye for now
User :   thanks! bye!
