User :   I'm 60 yr old male, good health, no meds, avg weight. I have have been experiencing an intermittent pulsating at top of sternum/ bottom of throat

User :   normal bp is 125/80

User :   they are intermittent at top of sternum

Doctor :   Since, I cannot perform a cardiac examination, I cannot pinpoint what the cause is.
Doctor :   However, based on your descriptions,
Doctor :   the pulsations are probably aortic pulsations.
Doctor :   Such pulsations are not commonly seen unless
Doctor :   there is aortic vessel problems or high cardiac output.
User :   I do have a cardiologist that I saw six months ago. I had a full check and was given a clean bill of health
Doctor :   Stress factor such as anxiety leading to palpitations causing increased in the heart rate can also get transmitted to the aorta causing this pulsations.
User :   that sounds like it
User :   i am definitely stressed
Doctor :   Cardiac causes such as high out put state, aortic malformations(aneurysms) can be dangerous.
Doctor :   Hence, I suggest you to consult a doctor/cardiologist for a physical examination.
Doctor :   You may need a repeat cardiac evaluation/EKG.
Doctor :   In the mean time, destressing means
Doctor :   such as adequate sleep, regular diet, mild physical exercise are essential.
