User :   Hello,

Yesterday I had an incident where after I lifted weights my heart rate would not drop. Well after ten minutes I panicked and had to go to the hospital in an ambulance where my pulse was 140/150 sustained and started to drop after about 15 minutes (25 minutes overall). BP 140/90. I had a yogurt in the morning and a banana to eat, and lately I have been noticing that I have begun getting panicky or had rapid heartbeat after lifting only. Typically it goes away but yesterday was different. My EKG was fine and my BP dropped to 131/75 within a half hour.

I also have had some heart palpitations lately, and have not felt as strong at the gym. Havent really had shortness of breath or chest pains, although I think during one palpitation I had a slight pain in left chest.

I am 33 years old 160 and physically active. Do you have any idea why only lifting would cause panic, and then this episode with my heart. I have an appointment Monday with a cardiologist but wanted to touch base firs
Doctor :   Hi

User :   oh and two weeks ago I started to ween off of Klonopin but this happened (heart thing) before that as well
Doctor :   so you were on Klonopin?
User :   I was small does started at .225 then I cut it down to .125 then stopped

Doctor :
panic disorder was treated with only klonopin, or any other measures also was employed

making it that you are suffering from familial generalized anxiety disorder

so your panic disorder has passed on to you in the genes
Doctor :
the presentation of the panic disorder is also varies
Doctor :
initially it was different and now it has turned into a cardiac event
Doctor :
this is the natural course of the panic disorder
User :   wow really, it can cause a cardiac event like I had?
Doctor :   yes
User :   I have been I should say obsessing over sudden cardiac death lately before the episode
Doctor :   it can causes any event not only cardia, neuro, gastro anything it can cause
Doctor :
Doctor :
you should not
Doctor :
the cardiac event will be like as if you are going to die, but in reality nothing of that happens, its only the FEEL of dome of death will be there
User :   and what would cause this anxiety during lifting and the heart palpitations, Panic?
User :   I do get more palpitations during emotion and panic
Doctor :   it is genetic in you,
