User :   A patient suffered anaphylactic shock due to food allergy but survived. Now the patient wants to know if there is any vaccine against food allergy. From recent recurrences of allergy it is obvious that patient is allergic to 'Mozerilla' cheese used in making pizzas and some other products involving fermentation.
Doctor :   hello
User :   Hello doctor.
Doctor :   give me a min, let me go thru your query
User :   Shock took place on 25th April 2010
Doctor :   patients age and gender please ?
User :   age 40 female
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   does she has any other medical problems ?
User :   She is allergic since childhood - allergic bronchitis. was treated for tuberculosis in 2002. suffering from urticaria since may 2008
Doctor :   and what all medications she is on?
User :   Triz DT - taken at the time of shock - 1/2 tab BD for 2 months and 1/2 tab OD for 2 months.
User :   tablet femin 20 - 1 tab OD for 4 months. Both these medicines were continued to OCT 2010. Now she takes cetrizine whenever she feels initiation of itching.
Doctor :   what all tests were conducted ?
User :   Last Sunday she ate pizza - containing mozerilla cheese and got urtcaria, She immediately took 2 tabs of dio - and 2 tabs of omnacortil 20 mg. And again on friday evening 10 o clock she ate 'moong bari' ( ready made - might involve fermentation ) and again suffered severe urticaria - took 2 tabs of dio -1
User :   tests conducted - all allergy tests. was found allergic to 'rajma', ' sarson'. But the tests were not able to detect allergy to cheese
Doctor :   well if the allergen is known then the ONLY way to prevent an attack again is to avoid it , there is no cure , the approach we follow is to AVOID if we know what causes it , and the medications are only given to subside the symptoms
Doctor :   if she has reacted to cheese then its on the list for her to avoid
User :   can you tell of some good centre where food allegy vaccine is being developed.
Doctor :   When avoidance, environmental control measures and medications fail to control allergy symptoms then you can go for allergy immunotherapy ("allergy shots"). Immunotherapy involves the injections of allergen extracts to "desensitize" the person.
Doctor :   tell me your ph no
Doctor :   will call you as you time is running out
