User :   My son requires tonsillectomy. I would like to know whether it is advisable to remove the full tonsils or partial. My son is only 5 years old. As per the doctors is adenoids are enlarged. And the tonsils are also enlarged thus having a narrowed air passage.
If he has a partial tonsillectomy what is the probability of the tonsils growing back? How quickly would they grow such as few months or years รข?? e.g. 6 moths, 1-2 years.
If tonsils are removed would there be an increased probability of diseases or infections for him?
If you opt partial removal then what procedure would you recommend e.g. conventional surgery, radiation, CO2 laser?
