User :   Hello, I have a question about facial scab
Doctor :   Hi,
Doctor :
Doctor :   Yes, please proceed
User :   Hello, I keep reading a lot online about acne scab... today it fell off after only two days
User :   I'm scared it will form a rolling/depressed scar
User :   I don't know how to treat it, it's on my face and quite large
User :   worried it will form a scar
Doctor :   Was the acne infected , i mean any pus formation ?
User :   no, but there is already a depressed scar/slight hole on my face
User :   I am worried it won't scab again... should i cover it with a band-aid and wait for it to scab again?
User :   Or let it heal naturally without a cover?
Doctor :   No, bandage is not needed , let it heal naturally
Doctor :   only thing is to prevent it to be tanned due to sunlight
User :   the scab got wet while bathing and fell off far too soon, although it formed quickly
Doctor :   apply sunscreen lotion
User :   I will. It looks depressed... but it was never deep that the wound bled, just surface layers
User :   came off when I squeezed it... but the area is larger than the pimple itself
Doctor :   You may have scar which may disappear in time if only superficial layers were involved
User :   How can I prevent it from scarring? there is no way?
Doctor :   Yes , you can prevent it the spots but not the scarring
User :   I have another scab that is barely hanging on. Should I remove it?
User :   Or keep it in place with a bandage?
Doctor :   let it fall by itself
Doctor :   do not touch it
Doctor :   or apply any bandage
User :   It is hanging on by threads... It fell mostly off so I pressed it back in place and held it with a bandage...
User :   Should I take the bandage off?
Doctor :   apply sunscreen lotion after the scab is gone off , which can minimize the darkening of the scar tissue
Doctor :   yes do remove the bandage, bandages can cause a abscess of the acne
User :   Im worried more for the depression it looks like might happen
User :   not so much the color, which can be concealed
Doctor :   Its like this more infected the acne was more scarring and depression occurs
User :   So even if a scab comes off, the natural depression is normal? The ridge around the wound is normal?
Doctor :   You can avoid acne and its infection but cant avoid scarring
User :   and it may level out?
Doctor :   yes, it is normal , after some weeks it gets disappear and level out
User :   It's too new and red to know if if it will even scar. I just got the scab last Friday, and it fell off today
User :   Hopefully it will scab again. Should I avoid creams, antibiotics and just let it heal naturally now?
Doctor :   Then as i advised apply sunscreen lotion and calamine lotion
Doctor :   thats enough to prevent scar to worsen
User :   thank you
User :   I will wait for it to heal a little more, still seems like it may scab again
Doctor :   Is there anything i can help you with?
User :   I think all of my questions are answered... doesn't seem like I can do much if the scab fell off prematurely
User :   just wait and see if it scabs over again
Doctor :   Yes,
