User :   hi, hope you can help me, i'v been suffering from terrible lower backache ,stomache pain bloating and wind for the last 3 days i dip sticked my urine and found a trace off blood in it too the pain at the moment is getting to be pretty unbearable can you please help?

User :   yes i am 46 female and work for the nhs as a community support worker within mental health
Doctor :   ok, is the pain diffuse or localized to any part of the abdomen ?
User :   mainly lower abdomen but it can move around
Doctor :   ok, do you have pain or burning sensation while urination ?
User :   no not really but do feel slightly irritation
Doctor :   ok, i think the problems you have are due to flatulence, but since you have noticed traces of blood in the urine , Kidney stones should have to be ruled out
Doctor :   hence i suggest you to get a USG ( Ultrasound scan ) of the abdomen and a urine microscopy test which will give a detailed insight into the cause
User :   what do you suggest i do in the mean time to help the pain is it diet related with the wind
Doctor :   yes, take TUMs two per day
Doctor :   and if it do not subside then you can take a tab of PRILOSEC once in the morning before breakfast
User :   thie pain settles for a short time then persits again would kidney stones cause this as i do get this pain maybe every 3 or 4 weeks

User :   so do you suggest i go to my gp

User :   if i take omeprozille it helps

Doctor :   its still a empirical management
User :   sorry what do you mean
Doctor :   the omeroprazole will completely cure the problem if its due to wing or gastritis ( one probable cause ) but if its due to kidney stones it may help but not much
