User :   yes sir,urine report says PUS cells 2-3 /HPF & in microscopy-Yeast Form+
Doctor :   hi
Doctor :   please describe your symptoms in detail.
User :   yes good morning sir,my child 10 months old suffering from intermittent fever and more severly nothing stays in his stomach, only mothers feed
Doctor :   ok. the pus cells 2-3 indicates mild infection
Doctor :   it could be due to yeast infection if no bacteria were detected
Doctor :   is the child on any medication?
Doctor :   are you using diapers for him or cloth nappies?
User :   yes ,calpol(if fever above 100) & ORS
User :   diapers
Doctor :   ok. I would recommend to avoid using nappies, and might need treatment with antifungals
User :   also nothing stays in his stomach except mothers feed,he becomes very weak
Doctor :   you can start him on home foods like mashed rice with boiled vegetables
Doctor :   is he having loose motions? if yes, how many times a day?
Doctor :   are you there?
User :   yes sir,we've already started home made food, but for the last two days,he vomits every thing except mother's feed
Doctor :   ok. then let him be on mothers feed, continue to give ORS, and also fluids like diluted fruit juices and dal water, coconut water to keep him hydrated and feel fine
User :   ok sir
Doctor :   give him boiled banana or boiled raw papaya, it helps in controlling loose stools (if he is having).
Doctor :   for fever continue to give crocin syrup 8 hourly
User :   no sir,no stools
Doctor :   if vomiting continues, then the child will need antacid syrup (as Crocin syrup might irritate gastric mucosa causing vomiting)
User :   sir,is this due to bad stomach or an infection
Doctor :   if in next 24 hours, the child is not better he will need to be examined by a pediatrician
Doctor :   is his abdomen soft or distended?
Doctor :   does he cry when you touch his abdomen?
User :   family physician examined & his observation are as under:abdomen-soft,chest clear,cough-no
Doctor :   when was this done?
User :   no he does not cry
User :   yesterday
Doctor :   ok. then if he does not improve in 24 hours time, then go ahead with getting him seen by the Pediatrician.
Doctor :   to rule out infectious causes
User :   sir,is this bad stomach or an infection?
Doctor :   it could be either of it. If you are trying to wean him off mothers milk, then this could be psychological too
User :   ok
Doctor :   so a complete evaluation by pediatrician will be necessary to find out what is exactly going on with him
User :   ok sir,definitely
Doctor :   fever and vomiting do suggest possible infection, but infection in GI tract will be associated with abdomen pain and loos stools.
Doctor :   the fever can be attributed to urine infection too
Doctor :   since urine test showed pus cells and yeast
User :   not much loose stool
User :   abdomen pain we're not sure
Doctor :   ok.
Doctor :   if there is no abdomen pain and no other symptoms, then his vomiting may not be explained as infectious cause
Doctor :   when does he tend to vomit? is it when you feed him food? or is it before getting fed?
User :   when we gave him some amount of it only then
Doctor :   is the vomiting immediately following food intake or is there time gap in between?
Doctor :   have you tried to wean him off breast milk?
User :   no sir
Doctor :   is the vomiting immediately following food intake or is there time gap in between?
User :   just about when we are finishing
User :   r u there sir?
Doctor :   yes. please proceed
Doctor :   ok. if the pattern continues even when fever is gine, then it could suggest psychologic reasons
Doctor :   for avoiding weaning off from mother's milk
Doctor :   *gone
