Re: What is premenstrual syndrome
Pushpa, Thanks for the descriptive query. The sequence of events seems to be Premenstrul syndrome. However a complete description of your menstrual periods, what age they started?, are they regular? how many days each month, How many days do you bleed during periods etc would have been helpful. Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) is a condition to identify, partly because it has such a wide variety of signs and symptoms. Mood swings, tender breasts, food cravings, fatigue, irritability and depression are among the most common symptoms of PMS. 60% to 75% of menstruating women have this problem. You can manage or sometimes reduce the symptoms of premenstrual syndrome by making changes in the way you eat, exercise and approach daily life. Reduce stress, Exercise daily for atleast 30 minutes and diet modifications. Please report the symptoms to your treating doctor by taking a record of them, which is more important. Your doctor guides you regarding the diet and exercise. Stress relieving measures too.
