I am a house wife and wanted to start on OCP?s read a lot of about the contraception part but what are the advantages of using the oral contraceptive pills apart from the contraception?

Apart from the benefits mentioned above, your periods would become regular.

well when i started using them i felt a lot more excited. ..my PMS was gone and trust me it feels so much better..i used to have irregular periods...it regulated my periods also..

I hope u are not planning to use OCs for non-contraceptive benefits only! Anyway since u ask i can let u know a couple of things my gynae told me..one was less blood loss in periods which indeed happened for me. less period pain, but i never had them anyway. protection agaimnst a couple of cancers, dont exactly remember which ones...lessening of premenstrual tension, which dint really hapeen in my case. Hope this helps!

I took all my pills correct but didn't have a period? Pregnant?
Hi I'm on the contraceptive pill microgynone, i take them all correctly and i havent missed any. Last month i didn't have a normal period, it was the tiniest amount of blood and only lasted about a day, i did get the usual cramps and pains, but barely any blood. Does this mean i could be pregnant?
