e w the best and most thorough answer. Joseph mostly right except that a girl/woman having the clitoris cut off would be the same as a boy/man having the entire glans removed. The equivalent of circumcision for a woman would be having her clitoral HOOD removed, and how many would be willing to do that? In some African/muslim countries they do remove the clitoris and sew up the vagina, so the woman cannot feel any sexual pleasure. Girls are protected from sexual mutilation in most western countries; why aren't boys given the same protection? Circumcision is mutilation; encourage your friends to do some research before disfiguring their babies. A point to ponder: over 200 deaths per year in the US due to circumcision.
