Wigs, do or don't?

I had chemo and lost my hair. I am currently looking to jump back into the workforce and be productive again, but I am not sure if wearing a wig would be best. Any suggestions?

Re: Wigs, do or don't?
I think the answer is different depending upon the person. For some women, it would be a source of courage and pride to go bald. For others, they will feel comfortable and most respected wearing a wig. You need to decide how you feel about your condition and do what fits with that, with a clear conscience. Some hirers might be uncomfortable (especially if they do not know why you're bald -- although you could tell them), while others will respect you tremendously and see you as a strong, valuable hire because of it. In any case, do what you can live best with, and never let yourself feel ashamed because your hair was lost. You're not just a survivor, you're going to live life fully, and I'm so glad that you've fought this far and seem to be improving. :)
