My grandfather is 92 years old and was recently diagnosed with cancer. The doctors say that he can survive upto 6 weeks to 6 months. Should we believe the doctors? Are they always right?
i am so sorry to hear about your grandfather, i recently lost mine to lung cancer. but he could still live for longer than what his doc is saying, my other grandfather was given 6 mos to 1 yr to lve and lived another 5 years, it depends on how strong his will to live is and how hard he can fight this horrible thing in his body. i would say get a second opinion but dont be too shocked if te answer is the same. live each day as it were the last time you were going to see him always tell him you love him ge anything that there may be off of your chest now before he gets too weak and and be there for him as much as you can be cancer paitents tend to feel alone in what they are going thru and even ho you dont know first hand what he is feeling make sure he knows that you do understand. i shaved my head for my grandpa he thought it was great and there for awhile he did better beause he knew that i understood.
