It would appear you don't GET cancer, it seems it is in your genes from birth. Certain things you do may trigger the cancer gene to kick in and obviously smoking will be a major factor in cancer. If one of your parents or grandparents had cancer, you're on a rocky road. Almost every man over 60 will have prostate cancer. It depends on the triggers as to how serious this is for the individual. As women don't have the prostate gland, the are likely to be more vulnerable to breast cancer.
